I'm not buying this just cause i feel like its just to get sales for the PSP-GO and i don't want one. Shame they never gonna put it on PS3 or even the PSN.

Darren_y25412d ago

Well technically it will be on the PSN... for PSP users to buy

blind-reaper5412d ago

well buy a regular PSP with a Memory Stick, I really don't care in which console it will be, it is a Kojima game and it will be fully backed by him so it has a quality seal.

Greywulf5412d ago

No offense intended, but have you seen the trailers/gameplay? If you saw that, the effort put into it, I think you'd be hard pressed to think its nintendogs for PSP.

Sarcasm5412d ago

Wow, that's quite possibly one of the dumbest things i've read.

That's like saying

"I'm not gonna buy Mass Effect 2, Fable III, Gears of War 3, or Forza 3 because it might increase 360 sales"

Doesn't make any sense.

Nitrowolf25412d ago

wow what a comment. worst dumbest thing to ever say, im pretty sure he is getting a kick out of the replies. that just sad that you won't get to enjoy this great game just because you don't want to boost psp sales. Don't worry sony/konami will not miss you.

PinkUni5412d ago

why do u even hate the psp go anyways?

the 3000 is still going to be there retard

AND IF YOU THINK ITS FOR THE PSP GO IT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE THAT THEY WOULDN"T PUT IT ON PSN

THATS HOW PSP GO GETS ITS GAME YOU IDIOT

ThanatosDMC5412d ago

I hope the boss fights are as epic as they were in MGS3. MGS4 bosses were fine but not great but it's probably due to the fact that we can buy so many guns and ammo. MGS2 bosses were just balls. MGS1 bosses were classic.

At the Games Developer conference, he says that he dreames of making the ultimate stealth game once hardware allows him to do so, coupled with a little bit of software technology that allows him to make a better game.

IMO - It shows that Kojima needs to work with the technology at hand more, and to push it further. If he really understands game design and what one needs to do - he wouldn't need more storage or processing power after just one PS3 game. He's not complaining about the PSP is he?

The true sequel to MGS4 could only work on a Sony product.

Nitrowolf25412d ago (Edited 5412d ago )

agreed
but its more like a prequel considering its ten years after 3
but yes still very true

Handsome_Devil5412d ago

"He also stated ...... while the MGS4 team can focus more on Peace Walker. Maybe when Peace Walker is done the team can work on a PS3 titile while the new team continues Rising?......"

could that mean another PS3 Exclusive from kojima ?? I really hope so, as I loved MGS4. would love to see something new to surpass it from him.

Sarcasm5412d ago

Agreed, it would be nice to see another PS3 exclusive from the MGS4 team.

Serg5412d ago

Well it would surprise me if Kojima made a true HD sequel to the series a multiplatform title, he already complained about BluRay not being enough for him. Kojima is one of the few designers who are so dedicated to deliver their best, he wouldn't be able to sleep at night if he had to dumb it down to DVD size.

I know this because he and I share a common illness, it's called perfectionism.

kingme715412d ago

I got the impression the author of the article was stating that about a new game not Kojima. Although it's hard to tell the way he mixed in his words with the text of the article.

"he already complained about BluRay not being enough for him. "

not only that, but he also complained about the ps3 not being powerful enough to reach his dream. At the Games Developer conference, he says that he dreames of making the ultimate stealth game once hardware allows him to do so, coupled with a little bit of software technology that allows him to make a better game.

In my opinion, after watching Kojima's keynote at GDC 2009, I really have a lot of respect for him. He understands game design and what you need to do.

Nitrowolf25412d ago (Edited 5412d ago )

lol the ultimate stealth game for Kojima? how far does he have to go to reach that dream. i wouldn't be surprise if it actually threw us into his game.
dam kojima is awsome. everytime i here about him there is always something good about it.

SixTwoTwo5412d ago

I believe we will see another PS3 exclusive from KojiPro. I mean they didn't put all that time, money, and effort into developing the MGS4 engine only to abandon it after one game. Or maybe they did, I don't know.

Nitrowolf25412d ago

i agree 622, im sure it isn't the last title from them considering that they really did enjoy developing for the PS3. Im sure that they will push its boundaries even farther after seeing Uncharted, GOW3, HR, ect.

PirateThom5412d ago

The MGS4 engine was expensive as well, no way they're going to use it for one game.

Kojima Productions essentially have two main engines now for the home consoles, the PS3 MGS4 engine and the multiplatform MGSR engine.

If there's an "MGS5", I'd say it'll be PS3 exclusive so Kojima can push the console and the engine further and take on his director/writer/producer role, but we haven't seen the last of multiplatform Kojima Production's games.

Metal Slug XX is surprisingly good.

The Out of Place Artifact - A Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Retrospective

VGChartz's Issa Maki: "Even to fans, the thought that a T-rated game could rank as the greatest is virtually unthinkable; how could the best Metal Gear possibly be a handheld title on a system less powerful than a PlayStation 2? Because it had to be – necessity is the mother of invention. Not only is this a full-fledged Metal Gear, the fresh spin on the gameplay draws from several sources outside of its wheelhouse. Peace Walker somehow manages to be less like its predecessor, Portable Ops, and more akin to Metal Gear Solid V. What boggles the mind is that it would be over five years before The Phantom Pain would release, an entire generation later."
