read the article

Valhalla is the rumored new Version of the Xbox360.

This might be a Code name for Natal + xbox 360 coming together.

Is the Valhalla something people (nerds) will go hunting for?? Like they did the Jasper?

Masamori Sumimura4848d ago (Edited 4848d ago )

I guess the disagrees I got in my above comment are from playstation fanboys who did not read the article and saw the * where it's written that Valhalla is the rumoured new xbox model.

They want a smaller box? 54% isn't enough?

That's low man. But sure did make me laugh.

I don't see MS doing a new 360 ever. They are a software company. If they did new hardware they would risk higher fail rates.

Is this thing going to be made in Afghanistan?

Microsoft wont do anything. You'll see a price drop of the Elite to $300 with the SKU being available in both black and white, the discontinuation of the XBox 360 Pro console, the arcade being reduced to $175 and a price reduction of key peripherals. Microsoft is going to continue to focus on software and 3rd party revenue until it launched another Halo title with Reach next fall and Natal.

I don't believe they will make external hardware revisions. This new model might have a new chipset (though i think they're content with the current one) but I highly doubt that they spend money developing a new external look.

Natal inclusion sounds possible but they wouldn't really want something like that as the sticker price would go up on that model and it would be unappealing as it would (almost certainly) be above $300. The competition would be great though, sony with blu-ray, ms with natal.

I love it when people complain about random disagrees and get even more disagrees lol

Hardware revision may not be a bad idea especially with NATAL coming thru.

MS response will be a price drop of the 360. That has been stated for well over a week.
