PS3 Slim Will Feature Replaceable Hard-Drives

One of the questions about the newly announced PlayStation 3 Slim was if the unit, like the current "Fat" PS3, would feature the ability to swap out the hard-drive disk. Fortunately, yes, you still will be able to do this with the PS3 Slim.

there is no card reader dude or BC just a slimmer and ligher ps3 and uses less power

at the end of the video IGN confirmed Sony said it is replaceable and showed the bottom of the slim.

yeah it does, i used my mac's integrated zoom, which doesnt tear up the pixels that much, it definitely says that.

If that's true, I think I'm getting a PS3 slim then. That's all that was holding me back.

You can literally find 500gb sata hard drives for $60 bucks now days. Man it's great to have a PS3.

Yeah, but the games are the real stand outs. I mean come on, the feature set for GT5 is mind boggling. God of War III is on the horizon. MAG. Heavy Rain. Uncharted 2. The Last Guardian. etc. etc. etc.

3.5" drives, maybe, but you're looking at around $120 or so for a 2.5" drive. If you want to install an internal drive in the PS3, you have to get a more expensive notebook/2.5" drive.
