Additional PS3 Greatest Hits Titles Available Now

Last week, The Playstation Blog announced the availability of two new "Greatest Hits" titles . U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune are the latest best-selling titles to enter into the elite world of "Greatest Hits." Stand alone versions are available now $29.99 MSRP. Agreed, I almost caved in and gave $40 used for it at Gamestop. I'm glad I can get it for $30 new now.

That Uncharted 1 demo really bit them in the a$$. The demo made the game less interesting and fun for me. It was like a tutorial only at first and then had some random fight in the jungle that i still wasn't good enough to beat.
Everyone saying that the game is great is why they were able to pull above that but just imagine how much better it would have sold had there been a proper demo.

In contrast
The Uncharted 2 demo will be online only and basically similar to what the beta was and because of that I see it outselling the first by a lot in addition to causing an increase in sale of the first game.

Uncharted is one of the greatest games ever. Also Limited Edidtion Socom the one with the headset is selling for 40$ reduced at Target. Just letting you know.

SONY has a great lineup of exclusives that have dropped in price. MGS4, Uncharted, Resistance, GT5, Motorstorm, Socom, R&C, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, etc.

i'm kinda disappointed Uncharted Drake's Fortune and Socom Confrontation are the only new addictions i hoped to see WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2009 & Saints Row 2 or any other game got a greatest hits oh well at least i can get Uncharted Drake's Fortune now

I got Uncharted the exact day it came out,and I'm getting Uncharted 2 day one as well, but I've been noticing that it usually takes Sony published titles like FOREVER to drop in price...taking nearly 2 years to drop in price is just too long to me.... and then there's Heavenly Sword, it's a great game and I own it, but it came out Sept. 07' and it's still $59.99!

Microsoft on the other hand seems to decrease the price of most of the games they publish at a much more steady rate, and that's something I wish Sony would do for people that aren't always early adopters of Sony published PS3 exclusives, because maybe then it would open a door for a consistent flow a people to buy the game until it reaches Greatest Hits status.

What about Nintendo, have you seen how they're treating Twilight Princess? Call me crazy but Zelda should have had a price drop shortly after it launched... the same day as the Wii.

SOCOM: Confrontation a greatest hit? Lol, more like a greatest flop. Good for Uncharted though, I think it will get a little sales boost prior to the U2 release. Naughty Dog is one of the few companies I don't mind giving my money to because they earn it.
