In a recent posting on the US Playstation Blog it seems that they may have announced a pre-order capability for the PSP Go, saying:
'This just in for MotorStorm and driving fans. SCEA will be giving an exclusive vehicle to fans who pre-order MotorStorm Arctic Edge for PSP and PSPgo. The game hits shelves and the PSN Store on Sept 29th but fans who pre-order now will receive a Mirage Rapide rally car.'
Unfortuneately this rumour has already been debunked, David Bull, Product Marketing Specialist at Sony Computer Entertainment America
has clarified the matter:
'Just spoke with the Product Manager and he will make the pre-order download available for all consumers who purchase the game from the PSN within the first 30 days from launch.'
While it is a shame that there will not be a pre-order function for the PSN, what is good news is that those who download the game will have an entire extra month to decide whether to get the game while still recieving the bonus vehicle.
Carl Williams writes, "The PlayStation Portable was Sony’s first stand alone portable and boy was it a special platform. The power of this bad boy was about on par with the PlayStation 2 console, could play PSOne titles, had a large library (over 1,300 games worldwide), and it was one of the first portables to offer Internet surfing out of the box. Whew. That is a lot of games for fans to sift through, a lot are region specific releases (but the PSP is not region locked). Here are my Top 10 PlayStation Portable games – got a beef with one?
