Pre-order ability coming to PSN? - Rumour

In a recent posting on the US Playstation Blog it seems that they may have announced a pre-order capability for the PSP Go, saying:

'This just in for MotorStorm and driving fans. SCEA will be giving an exclusive vehicle to fans who pre-order MotorStorm Arctic Edge for PSP and PSPgo. The game hits shelves and the PSN Store on Sept 29th but fans who pre-order now will receive a Mirage Rapide rally car.'

Unfortuneately this rumour has already been debunked, David Bull, Product Marketing Specialist at Sony Computer Entertainment America
has clarified the matter:

'Just spoke with the Product Manager and he will make the pre-order download available for all consumers who purchase the game from the PSN within the first 30 days from launch.'

While it is a shame that there will not be a pre-order function for the PSN, what is good news is that those who download the game will have an entire extra month to decide whether to get the game while still recieving the bonus vehicle.

But remember PSP go could have Voucher to download at retailers store that they could then put a pre-order bonus for the voucher.(im saying if the have bonuses like a keychain or a booklet)
"unless codes will be sold through retail outlets, which would defeat the point of the PSP GO"
not really, cause some people wont have a credit card to fund in the ps store and ps cards are not available every where.

Rumor, and keep it an ongoing rumor for about 2 years.

It would be neat if they allowed you to preorder the game...and over time, segments of the game was downloaded to your psp...so on release, you would not have to worry about the network being flooded causing longer download times.

I like the 30 day idea better =). The download speeds on launch days is going to be killer.

I wonder if it will be possible with this PSP GO is to pause the downloads and continue to dl it later on.

it should be no problem for the PSP.

Top 10 PlayStation Portable (PSP) Games

Carl Williams writes, "The PlayStation Portable was Sony’s first stand alone portable and boy was it a special platform. The power of this bad boy was about on par with the PlayStation 2 console, could play PSOne titles, had a large library (over 1,300 games worldwide), and it was one of the first portables to offer Internet surfing out of the box. Whew. That is a lot of games for fans to sift through, a lot are region specific releases (but the PSP is not region locked). Here are my Top 10 PlayStation Portable games – got a beef with one? Let me know in the comments!10) Mega Man Powered Up"

God of War Chains of Olympus over God of War Ghost of Sparter?

DJ-DK7863360d ago

Maybe I should re-play Ghost of Sparta...

Th3o3360d ago

Really great choices but I would've swapped out liberation with Disgaea or a persona game... PES 3 was amazing on vita...too bad there was no free roam:(

DJ-DK7863360d ago

Thanks! Maybe I'll look into having a round with those games, could change my mind. :)
