In the fourth part of IncGamers' Aion preview, they discuss trade, professions and item enhancements available in the game. Oh yes, there's more to Aion than just a pretty face.
"Unlike other MMOs, in Aion your character can learn all the crafting professions in the game. You automatically learn the two extracting professions, but you can learn Armoursmithing, Alchemy, Weaponsmithing, Sewing, Cooking and Handiwork.
A quest to craft simple items starts off each profession, then further crafting increases your skill. When your character reaches a certain level of proficiency they can learn new crafting skills. As with the application of Mana Stones etc., if you fail while creating an item, all the materials are lost. This can be a costly error, so be sure not to aim too far above your ability."
Aion 2 launches globally in 2025 with Unreal Engine 5, revamped combat, PvE focus, and a fresh take on the classic MMO experience.
Discover the immersive world of Aion in 2023, complete with deep crafting, aerial combat, and a unique flying system. Join one of two factions and explore the vast land of Atreia, where new challenges and updates await.
Would this be self promotion, I personally don't care but just wonder.
Gameforge and NCSOFT has just announced that they have launched the 7.2 ("Shadows Over Red Katalam") update for their fantasy MMORPG "AION".
gasp, that's gonna hurt if you lose the materials many times.
"there's more to Aion than just a pretty face"
Just in the last 2-3 weeks I have first heard of the game, and started to be pretty interested about it!
Although I see the hype, I don't share it. Aion just seems like a collection of MMOs, the world is different sure but it just doesn't feel right for me.
this does look like a beautiful game
Very impressed with the amount of content for early levels, we'll see what it's like later on.
