Would this be self promotion, I personally don't care but just wonder.
Gameforge and NCSOFT has just announced that they have launched the 7.2 ("Shadows Over Red Katalam") update for their fantasy MMORPG "AION".
DSOGaming writes: "Gameforge has released a comprehensive update for its fantasy MMORPG AION in Europe. As the press release reads, with the launch of version 7.0, Gameforge unlocks the new region of Dumaha with the PvE instance ‘Stella Development Laboratory’ and provides Artist class players with a second specialization to select."
This game dropped off my radar for a while; stopped playing the beta, as I didn't wan't to ruin the game too much.
It's officially "on" my radar again! September can't come soon enough.
Why does every nub swear that NCSoft is just after WOW players? WoW is balls nowadays, 6 year old graphics and repetitive gameplay made it boring. NCsoft wants WOW, UO, EQ, and a whole new breed of players to come to AION. AION is bringing a new change to the genre, and I can't wait for the 22nd. Beta has been fun and I think its fair to say, I hope some people from wow come along (those that have actual skills), the QQing noobs, well, blizzard can keep those. If you haven't already played or checked it out, its definitely going to be the game of the gear IMNSHO.
I tried the beta and was unimpressed. Perhaps the graphics reminded me a bit too much of Lineage II. That cinematic was a bit over the top with melodrama for me. I'm not getting this title, but for those who do I hope it's awesome.
Bah, I think I am the only human being who doesn't like MMORPGs. I have always think they suck bad. I rather my single player RPGs.
But hey, thats just me.
I've been looking forward to this game for a while. The english beta brought together old friends i haven't scene in a while which was nice and it actually a fun game, I had to stop playing it thou cause I knew if I played the beta to much I'd get bored once it came time at launch. Of course once swtor comes out I could careless about anything else
