Gran Turismo PSP Car List

PSP World writes:

"Below you will find a Gran Turismo PSP car list, organized alphabetically by manufacturer. Please note that this list is a work in progress and is subject to change pending official word from Polyphony Digital. While the list shares many similarities with the original Gran Turismo 4 lineup, there have been significant changes in the PSP version. Most importantly, Polyphony Digital has added the long-missing Ferrari, Maserati, Bugatti, and Lamborghini manufacturers to its stable of licenses. Sadly, Porsche seems to be the last manufacturer absent from Gran Turismo, although some RUF tuner models will still be available. All in all, there will be more than 800 cars in Gran Turismo PSP, from classics, to hatchbacks, to exotic supercars."

Good lord that's a lot of cars. Even though there are repeats (model years) and some that probably won't make it over from GT4, it's amazing to scroll down the list and see hopw big this game is going to be.

Can't get enough of Skylines :)

Greywulf5766d ago (Edited 5766d ago )

Seriously. It has several years because people all own several years of vehicles, that and they spent the time to make them. You guys will never get it, because you just don't know. You want to drive your model/make in GT to get the experience that you cant get anywhere else. Driving your virtual car rules beyond anything because you can tell how accurate it is to the real life version.

If you don't like skylines, there are plenty of vehicles to choose from.

Sadly enough, that list of skylines probably wouldn't fit on 1 dvd.

The GTR is popular, and everyone knows Nissan & Polyphony have a great relationship.

Ichiryoka5766d ago

That was a waste or your time and mine which is why greywulf left you...

http://www.youtube.com/watc...

owned.

Also my thoughts on the Gran Turismo psp version as well as 5 goes a

little something like this. Why would they release the psp version

with the ability to trade cars from your psp to your psp without

releasing GT5? Wouldn't that be half the experience if they only

released the psp version this year, which is why I believe GT5

release will not be too far behind the psp version. That is if they

are not released on the same day.

JOLLY15766d ago (Edited 5766d ago )

1/16th of the games cars are Skylines. Also 1/10th of them are hondas.

PirateThom5766d ago

That's called being "definitive", it's what Polyphony Digital do.

JOLLY15766d ago (Edited 5766d ago )

It looks more like repetitive than definitive, but oh well.
*EDIT* nice stealth edit

Ichiryoka5766d ago

Yup having that many cars sucks, I mean if I had only 400 to drive I would be so much happier /Sarcasm.

cRaZyLeGs 935766d ago

Bugatti, Lamborghini, nice! Also look what I just found. http://www.gumtree.ie/dubli...

JOLLY15766d ago (Edited 5766d ago )

gt doesn't let you paint car, or have engine swaps, or have drivetrain swaps, or add manufacturers body kits. How terrible of me, that's why you need all of those cars and special purple skylines, my bad!

*Edit* Then thommy, you must really hate that they added Tommy Kaira models to gt and that they have race liveries on cars too. That just sounds so bad huh?

PirateThom5766d ago (Edited 5766d ago )

There's nothing worse than ruining pretty cars with ugly body kits and crappy paint jobs.

Edit: Actually, given the choice, I would always take the standard model. I know two people with Skyline GTS-t (funny enough, the R32, '91 that happens to be listed above, IRL), one in stock, with engine upgrades and one with body kits, a new spoiler and decals, with similar engine enhancements. I choose Skyline 1 every day of the week because decals and everything else are stupid looking. And, not being funny, I barely touched the paint editor in Forza 2.

And, I never said it was a bad feature, I just said I hate it when cars are ruined by people who lack any kind of taste.

cRaZyLeGs 935766d ago

I think you can agree yourself that the paintjobs are a good feature of forza, why not admit it?

Noob5766d ago (Edited 5766d ago )

Over a PSP game in an article with an unconfirmed list of cars. It's not Sony's fault Forza won't be including as many cars. Trolling here won't do you any good.

Greywulf5766d ago (Edited 5766d ago )

Polyphony doesn't run around saying their game is the best ever, then can't run 9 cars on a screen at once rendering any lines of 1080 (buh buh its not 1920x1080, yea yeah yeah yet its 1280x1080. Higher than 720p of the definitive racer) naively, and have less cars than a PSP game.

Forza has cool features, engine swapping is great! As is painting pikachu's on vehicles and drivetrain swaps, and Wings West "Terminator" wings.. But thats it for actual driving sim/car enthusiasts.

GT offers deep tuning customization, which is great. But more importantly, it has better physics and realistic renditions of tracks/and second to none detail and visuals. Top Gear doesn't take a car then swap the engine out and drivetrain and drive it around a course, nor do they add Boomerwang shogun kits to a vehicle. There is a minority of people who want these features in the Driving Simulation world. These people are called Forza owners, which is why the franchise doesn't sell as well as Gran Turismo. Forza owners don't care about real simulations, thus the addition of REWIND features and arcade rollovers and a movie editor(this is a car sim?) Other people don't care about painting penises on enzos, but they care about lap times and eyecandy with the vehicles.

You're so lost you're comparing a PSP game to your "definitive" racer.

lulz.

Turn10 owned themselves by calling Forza3 definitive. When no one else is.

At the end of the day, Engine swaps/drivetrainswaps/bodypain t/ShogunKits have little to do with being a definitive game, and it has little to do with enjoying a Sim. And they aren't unique to Forza, which is the hilarious part of this.

Trollimite5766d ago (Edited 5766d ago )

do you realize your comparing a full console game, to a hand held game?

and all you can think of is paint!!! lol. i would trade the custom paint for more cars any day! racing isnt about paint. its about the cars!

poopsack5766d ago

Hey Jolly1 you're comparing Forza 3 to GTPSP, congrats.

raptorjacob5766d ago

i think i will try to acquire all those skylines cause they are bad to the bone. i am also loving all the hondas/acuras to choose from. love the nsx the most!

El_Colombiano5766d ago

^^^

Someone seems upset that GT PSP is trumping a console competitor.

Ichiryoka5766d ago

With all those skylines I will be able to test them out on each other as

well as other cars, If you don't buy Gran Turismo I don't see how else

you will be able to tell which one is faster, unless you google it.

DelbertGrady5766d ago

lol! Talk about being defensive.

Soda: "Can't get enough of Skylines :)"

Greywulf: "If you don't like skylines, there are plenty of vehicles to choose from."

Syntax error.

Greywulf5766d ago (Edited 5766d ago )

Which everyone knows.

Also everyone knows that Forza Zealots literally say Gran Turismo only has Skylines.

Which everyone knows.

If you honestly meant it.. my mistake. I sincerely apologize.

Narutone665766d ago

are included in there. I'm so happy. If you have tried all the Skylines, you will notice that they drive a little differently from each other. The same goes for Hondas.

cmrbe5766d ago (Edited 5766d ago )

and paintjobs?. Thats kids stuff. You will never see grownups or professionals pint swastikas on their cars or spider man or the green power ranger lol!.

What does paint job has anything to do with driving simulation?.

phosphor1125766d ago

Lancer Evo and Skyline are two of the most iconic cars around the world and there are alot of official different modifications in real life and people want to get their real life counterpart in the game. So why not include 48 of them? It's 48 out of 800, so whats the difference, all other car makes will be getting some love too.

My Celica GT-Four RC is there, as long as that makes the jump to GT5, I don't care! :D

To this day, anyone that plays a GT game for the first time and doesn't have experience with this kind of game will crash at the first corner, so not really sure what Shu is claiming here. I literally saw this happen a few months ago at an event where they had GT7 with VR2 up on a stage and members of the public got to try it out.
