its getting butchered by reviews and is one helluva glitchfest tbh.
they shouldve put in more bugtesting but the devs just let it loose in its current form.

The game is actually good as far as 2d fighters go.

Its just that its lacking in features and the online netcode is horrible at the moment.

SNK really should have put more thought into this release before putting it out in its current state when you consider the packages that games like Street Fighter 4 and Calamity Trigger give us.

They really gotta get that online straightened out though. A bare bones fighter like this will live or die by its online play, and right now its not looking too good.

I got the PS3 version for the Clan feature. That appeals to me more than some ranking boards. To each his own though. Exclusive features though still haven't fixed the broken laggy online. :(

but we don't know for sure if the game flopped in sales yet. Seeing all the heat this game is getting, it seems like a lot of people bought the game (even though a large majority are dissapointed).

Hopefully the game does well enough in retail that the possible King of Fighters 13 will still see the light of day.

Both of them have match recording, the 360 has Trueskill, PS3 has clans. So each system has an exclusive feature, which was said a long time ago anyway. They just wrote that article to incite fanboys who likely won't even buy the game.

why the hell does the D-pad matter? I honestly do not understand why anyone would use a d pad. Are they used mainly in fighting games? I do get that the d pad is used to map different guns to or commands etc, I just don't understand it being used as the primary input.

Back in the old SNES and Genesis days, the dpad was mostly all we had to use to play our fighting games. People just tend to stick with what they know throughout the years, especially when the arcade scene started die down.

A lot of people aren't serious enough about professional play to invest in an arcade stick, and feel that a good dpad is all they need to pull off command inputs in their fighting games.

Heck, I just recently invested in my first arcade stick last week (TE stick ftw), and it is a learning experience for me.

Funny thing is, a lot of people say the PS3 Dpad is better than the 360 one, and I tend to agree. But seriously, they are both crap when it comes to fighting games. Just one is less crappier than the other.

I think Capcom make better fighting game than SNK. The motion in most SNK fighting games (except Garou) seem really stiff...not smooth which i really hate. It doesn't feel like you are hitting a person (more like hitting a stick).

People should really invest into getting joy stick if they love fighting games. There just isn't any better way to play fighting games.

Blazblue is wow.....better than SF4 for sure.

Why would having a "True Skill" matter for ranking purposes when your BP from Arcade Mode Online essentially is your ranking for that purpose? The clan feature is a far better trade off exclusive. Also last time I looked both versions, PS3 and 360, included the option to save and upload replay matches.
