Why is it that when a PC game comes out with DRM on it everybody blows a fuse, but when a game releases to XBLA, nobody gripes about the DRM?
"Why is it that when a PC game comes out with DRM on it everybody blows a fuse, but when a game releases to XBLA, nobody gripes about the DRM?" What kind of question is that? Its obvious, becuase those complaining can't pirate the game on PC. Xbox LIVE is like that so you won't see problems like the PS3 popping up where people "share" their downloads on up to 5 consoles. Although I would like to have that on the Xbox 360 becuase I as well have more than one 360 in the house (for my brother), Microsoft will never allow it becuase of the potential money that could be lost.
I hate it when you 'own' 2 xbox 360's, and you have to have 2 gold accounts, dl stuff 2 and so on...
if he 'own' the both consoles, he can carry his account using memory card and download his stuffs on both consoles, he will still able to use them as long as his account on the console.
"Xbox LIVE is like that so you won't see problems like the PS3 popping up where people "share" their downloads on up to 5 consoles." What are you talking about, Sony actually promotes game sharing. They say it's for those with multiple consoles like your current predicament and so tha you can share with friends. Noting that they mean real friends that you can trust with such information, not people you simply met in an online game. How is that a bad feature? I love that I can buy a game off PSN and play it with a friend without them having to buy the game and without sony penalizing us for it. There IS an actual structure to it as well since sony completely controls what games you can share with their 1 day block between consoles of content that they don't want shared. It's made so that if you have to use a different PS3, like yours broke or you're out of town, you can then play your downloaded games on the new console and if you try to play on the old console you have to wait 1 day or more for it to work on that console again. It's a great system if your PS3 breaks, gets stolen or something like that.
FamilyGuy: I agree. Sony's game sharing up to 5 consoles makes MS's DRM look draconian in comparison.
what is it i have to by a candy to get one free ps: leave xbox drm alone
it sucks.... that's why i picked up a ps3 and will never purchase anything on xbl again.
@militant07 Okay, so if I put my stuff on a memory card, and try to put it on another console, I can't use both accounts at the same time, and I also have to redownload
