Minigore - ZTGD Review

Cat writes: Fight the Furries!

Cast into a 3D storybook countryside you play as John Gore, heavily armed and ready to do battle against...Furries, no, not the pervy kind, the monster kind. Dark, scary and of varying sizes the snarling Furries come at you from all sides as you help the remarkably square John Gore stem the tide in the dark fairy tale land known as the Hardlan. Episode One doesn't go into detail about dear John's predicament or why he's a beacon for the Furries, but you don't need to know any of that to unleash some survival shooter power on those sasquatch guys.

this game sounds pretty cool.

the artstyle rocks. that intro video was such a teaser though.

the dual stick idea is nice and it sounds like it functions really well.

It definitely looks like an interesting app. One of the more unique ones out there, and of course it comes out from Chillingo... They're an awesome publisher, haha.

release date of 6/1 eh? To bad it's not out yet! Sounds really great and the twin stick shooters are pretty fun. Only two hits till G.O. though :( glad the update will give us one more HP.

Always nice when the ingame music is good enough and funny dialog to boot. Hope this gets the apple approval soon

What I played was what they sent for approval, so if everything goes smoothly I would expect the game to hit store within a week's time, right?

@meep: yeah, I really love the game's style, which is the only real drawback to the dual-stick situation: I never felt ambushed by the Furries, but I couldn't help but want to see more of the game, it looks so cool!

I'd certainly like to see it in a week ^^

The style does have a charm to it and like you pointed out this is only the first game of the series so they could expand on the world. Hopefully it gets popular enough where a box area is just not enough!
