GameSpot: The Behemoth Presents: Game 3 First Look

GameSpot writes: "Speaking of cartoon characters, it only takes a second to tell who's responsible for Game 3. The game maintains the same distinct, 2D art style as Alien Hominid . They're not trying to make any triumphant leaps into the third dimension this time around; the team seems to know what works best for them and aren't eager to lose their visual signature by going too over-the-top with the look. That said, Game 3 does maintain that same level of absurdness as previous titles, including a sort of mascot character who breakdances while crying… for no apparent reason.

The Behemoth tells us there's also a single-player component to Game 3 complete with a storyline, but that wasn't on display just yet. We should have more as we get closer to the release in 2010. No platforms have been officially announced as of this time".

Can The Behemoth's New Game Live Up To Castle Crashers?

Ripten: "When we finally had some free time during Comic Con 2010, we wandered over to The Behemoth booth to find out just what they’ve been up to since their smash XBL hit Castle Crashers. Even better, we got hands on with their new game, as well as Co-Founder Tom Fulp and lead artist Dan Paladin. They gave us the lowdown, and then some."

Yes it can. I've played it. It's way too much fun.

I'm disappointed that we're not getting a Castle Crashers 2, but I'm excited to play their new game. It looks like tons of fun, and I love The Behemoth's humor.

I'm psyched! The first one was awesome.

I tend to agree with the philosophy of moving on to a new game. Otherwise you get stuck in a rut with a single game.

CrzyFooL5016d ago

I dunno. BBT is pretty fun, but Castle Crashers 2 sounds like insta-win if you ask me.

It's not always a bad thing to stick with one game for a while, but I do agree that developers should mix it up after a few.

Joystiq: The Behemoth's Game 3 Hands-On

There's a part of Joystiq that likes examining games' sub-superficial levels -- the lingering inspiration behind the art, gameplay, story and all the rest of its aggregate components. Behemoth's Game 3 is difficult to dismantle in this manner, largely due to the fact that, even when compared to past entries in Behemoth's bizarre repertoire -- it's an unabashed labor of madness.
