Google cracks down on hidden triforces in logos

Recently, a few gamers came across a triforce that was embedded in a Google logo. Upon further inspection, however, the Zelda symbol could be detected in a majority of other atypical images that the company once used in honor of special holidays/events.

hum so i guess it really was the triforce after all.....or at least i think it was.......but i wonder why google took it down in the first place.

Confuzzled5546d ago

Maybe because Nintendo can sue them...

knox5546d ago

yea but theres no actual proof so wouldnt they be able t odeny it?

Polluted5546d ago

According to wikipedia the triforce logo is a Sierpenski triangle...

...and is, therefore, ineligible for copyright. There seems to be a debate going on about whether that's accurate or not. You can read up on it here if you're interested:

Sounds to me like Nintendo would have a hard time suing Google over this, but better safe than sorry, I suppose.

Confuzzled5546d ago

I'm sure Nintendo could find a loophole with ease.

heroicjanitor5546d ago

It doesn't harm anyone and they aren't making profit from it...

knox5546d ago

sadly people sue for the sake of suing these days =|

Smacktard5545d ago

Confuzzled, you're stupid. They haven't trademarked or copyrighted the symbol. That's like Kellogg's suing someone over the use of a capital 'K.' You're dumb. Stop trying to talk like you know stuff.

@4.2

Nintendo wouldn't do that.

If they do that, anyone can be sued by Nintendo.

I mean it's for Tesla. It looks like a T in a triangle which "resembles" the Tri Force logo. It's kinda silly. But I think it's jsut wishful fanboy thinking.

mfwahwah5545d ago

What? The triforce is pretty mainstream. And the artist cosplayed as Link and loves Zelda so yeah...

force unleashed is a great game. Thankfully the 360 version is bc on the XBO/Series. It looks and plays even better than on original hardware.

A true classic. Recently I was experimenting with injecting ray tracing into this game using nvidia’s SSRTGI. The results were pretty slick!
