"It wasn't that long ago that the point-and-click adventure genre was considered good and dead, and remakes or sequels of my favorite LucasArts titles from childhood seemed completely out of the question, a pipe dream that would never come true. Things have changed ever since Telltale launched the Sam & Max episodic series, with LucasArts finally realizing that gamers still really cared about these old games. When The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition for the PC and Xbox Live Arcade was officially announced early last month, I could barely believe it. Although it is one of the most beloved adventure games of all time, Monkey Island is a franchise that I am not as familiar with, and I was happy to have a chance to start at the beginning again."

Granted, the odd free Xbox One or Xbox 360 title gets the juices flowing, but on the whole, the latter months of 2016 has failed to hit the heights of months further past. But now, the Xbox Games With Gold scheme is back with four new titles being given away throughout the month of November. Surely the year will be able to think about closing with a fairly decent giveaway?"
Did you know that Nintendo originally intended Link to travel into a futuristic techno-Hyrule? Here is a collection of facts that you may not know about your favourite characters.
The StickSkills gang remembers their favorite LucasArts games of yore.
I would argue that the Star Wars games were the start of Lucasarts demise. Sure, X-wing and X-wing vs Tie fighter were great but that's where the Star Wars obsession began. Before then they were innovators and leaders with games such as Rescue on Fractalus, Ballblazer, the Eidolon, Day of the Tentacle, Grim Fandango, etc.
Once they started with Star Wars all this creativity died and they begun to spiral inwards, sucked into a single brand black hole. Rest in piece Lucasarts. Some of us still remember your glory days.
