Order of War is a WWII-based strategy game that features the usual RTS elements but it also uses a somewhat unique camera view that shows on-the-ground action.
GamersGate has released it's Deal of the Day for the 22nd.
Todays game is Silent Hunter 5: Battle of the Atlantic at 75% off the list price.
Let's celebrate the New Year with some lovely ladies! Donning a sexy military outfit, model Jung Se On was recently hired to promote game company War Gaming in South Korea.
Game Vortex writes: "Who doesn't love it when they get what they asked for? Not too long ago I played and reviewed Order of War, or OoW as you would see it in the forums. I said then, "I would like to see a more challenging title quickly on the heels of this one, as long as it can keep the same graphical and gameplay quality." Well, the Wargaming.net folks heard me loud and clear, and delivered us Order of War: Challenge. They even threw what I was looking for into the title, so what more could I want? Any feeling of the word "casual" that I used last time to describe the game is replaced with the frantic, in your face, play you can only get from human competitors. The best part is that this is a standalone title. If single player isn't your thing, why waste time? You can jump right in with this multiplayer version."
I love a good RTS, hope this is one, actually haven't heard of this one. I wish more of them did something like this, and even what Renegade had (C & C game)...give the option for a one-manned control, benefits would be no stupid AI or crapping pathing scripts to suffer through or worry about...but benefits of overhead/mass view/control are also obvious, as you can then control many of your army...That'd be sweet for the upcoming C & C 4 or any game for that matter.
It's an RTS. Just because you can move the camera that way doesnt really mean the gameplay will be good. If it's as good or better than Company of Heroes, then maybe.
"...detail previously unseen in the strategy genre."
Has everyone forgotten World In Conflict, a revolutionary RTS game that created a completely different angle of RTS interaction??? You can zoom all over the place in that *extremely detailed* game.
wtf?
