Wasn't xbox their official platform?

The challenge series has been going on since the 90s, its mostly always been on the Playstations, if not always. Not that most of the (enthusiasts, including the submitter) would know that, since most where not even 5 years old when it started I bet. EA just decied to partner up with MGL for this event.

Its not always about polarizing the console competition you know kids, sometimes, just sometimes, its about games.

GJ blocking me Dark, cant handle being man handled by a true Gamer in your PM box I presume. Typical.

Also, I was corrected by Mr dark in a rather volitile PM on my assumption about the the EA challenges always being on Playstations, it has been on the 360 for 3 of the 9 years these challenges have been going. My bad. To me it makes sense that it is on the playstations, the playstation is the reason why these sports games are more and more mainstream even though MS has been strong arming their involvement the last few years. Not that I care though as long as people get their game on, who cares right? Unless of course you are the submitter and self proclaimed (Godfather) of the PS3 (enthusiasts), and you add the (Only on Playstation) bit to the press releases title just to invoke this stupid console war.

That sounds like real news, about time too.

This is new because we previously could not compete in qualifying rounds so easily.

The PS3 being the platform of choice for sports games seems obvious as would fighting games, and i'm sure if it were for third or first person shooter the 360 would be the console used.

Nice Sony, EA and MLG ! =)

Yeah, it's pretty cool. I hope they have their own Madden Challenge similar to ESPN's. That would be very cool.

Either way the game will sell more on the 360 and the player turn out for a cod console tournament would be greater on the 360.

Who said Modern Warfare was even gonna be in the Tourny? This is EA, not Activision. Wow you loyalist are amazing. If it was up to you guys I would have to play COD and Halo for the rest of my life. Also, what in the heck does sales have to do with a tourny? How many people do you think are in the world? Only you loyalist think that the world revolves around you. Im glad that MLG is opening up to more of a mature crowd then the undeserving bunch that still dont know how to wipe after they are done pooping.

This is a great way for MLG to expand its audience. But let's not get it twisted, Halo 3 is THEE MAIN event! I have battled in a few MLG tournaments and it's no question that Halo 3 is the king of MLG. I am surprised that Madden is the game they're using since that's not a big game in MLG events.

Butt hurt blablabla Halo blablabla butt hurt

I could've sworn I saw you a couple months back talking about how MLG and their players frowned upon the PS3 and don't consider it a worthy console for competitive gaming.
Am I wrong?

I think I remember some sort of post a while back as well.
