PS3 Review - RealTriggers

PlayStation LifeStyle writes, "One argument some Xbox 360 owners have against the DualShock 3 is the lack of "triggers" for the lower shoulder buttons. Gioteck has remedied this issue nicely and any shooter fan should not be without RealTriggers."

$5 for these things? I may have to pick these up soon.

Thanks for the review, PSLS!

villevalorox5388d ago

they work great. It's not the grip but the feeling that you finger is not going to fall off. I had no problem with the way my ps3 controller was.. But after I got these it feels like your finger will slip off without them.

I got 2 pairs of these babies. I love them! They're really worth the investment. Only $5 a pop, you can't go wrong with these.

I was thinking about getting a new controller for my PS3 that's similar to a 360 controller simply for the shoulder buttons' concavity.

Then I saw these at GameStop for $5 and picked em up instead.

DERKADER5388d ago

Where are the adapters to turn my 360's triggers into slippery, slidy, slope buttons? Oh yeah no one would want those.

I have been using these for a while now, and I have grown pretty accustomed to them. They do a fantastic job with shooting and racing games.

Pair it up with Kontrolfreek (there are two kinds), and you will be very pleased.

These are great! This is how the PS3 controller should have been in the first place. The flipside it is only $5.

Gen0ne5387d ago

I got'em too. Makes a world of difference.

LazyDevs5387d ago

Sweet, now do the have a whole 360 controller snapover. Or at least som e thumb stick snap overs, due to the fact i am tired resetting my thumbs cause of them sliding off.

SIX5387d ago

They should just re design the controller with this in mind. Keep everything the same but maybe slicken up the lines a bit as well. I love the feel of the DS3, but it does need a re design.

edgeofblade5387d ago

Got a pair. Love em.

I still feel that, for an FPS, whether you fire with the 1 or the 2 buttons/triggers is a matter of preference. I like having triggers, but recently, my fingers seem to be migrating back to the 1 button as a matter of ergonomics.

I got some of these triggers ages ago free with a PS3 magazine and they are great, would not use the controller without them now. They are also sold in the UK at GAME and seen them at PC world also. Only cheap, between £1.99 and £2.99 and simple to fit. They are great for use as accellerator and brake for GT5p or any racing game, makes it easier to get the right amount of pressure with your finger.

DJ5388d ago

Fine, I'll get them. Only $5, so why not. =]

LightofDarkness5387d ago

These things are great, I've had them since Christmas. What we need now are some modified analogue stick covers that have a concave surface. My thumbs often slip off the normal ones.

The_Zeitgeist5388d ago

I think I am going to pick some of these up. Lets just hope they can hold with daily 4 hour game sessions of Oblivion!

matt2005usaf5388d ago

They should be able to...especially if they are able to withstand 8+ hour sessions of Killzone 2/COD/Resistance 2. They are great!

Ranking the Devil May Cry Series

VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "Upon finally finishing Devil May Cry 5 recently - after it spent several years on my “I’ll play that soon” list - I considered giving it a fittingly-named Late Look article. However, considering that this was indeed the final piece I was missing in the DMC puzzle, I decided to instead take this opportunity to take a look back at the entirety of this genre-defining series and rank the entries. What also made this a particularly tempting notion was that while most high-profile series have developed fairly evenly over time, with a few bumps on the road, the history of Devil May Cry has, at least in my eyes, been an absolute roller coaster, with everything from total disasters to action game gold."

First to last for me...3,4,5,1,2.

VersusDMC4h ago

Me leaving it out should be telling of my thoughts on it. Better than 2 as a DMC game.

Still a good game though.

Friendlygamer5h ago

3,1,4,5 to me, never played 2. 5 gameplay is amazing but level design was really disappointing to me, just a bunch of plain arenas, the story felt like a worse written rehash of the 3rd and the charater models looked weird ( specially the ladies ). Another problem with 5 was that there was not enough content for 3 charaters so I could never really familiarize with any of them

2.
Dmc.
4.
5.
1.
3.

God DMC2 was an awful game.
And in case this isn't obvious it goes worst to best

Yui_Suzumiya2h ago

1 and DmC. The rest are unimportant.

DarXyde2h ago

Order changes depending on your focus. I tend to focus on gameplay/fun factor, so...

5, 3, 1, 4, 2.

I really didn't like 4 but commend Dante's weapon diversity. The retreading of old ground was pretty unacceptable to me.

But even then... Still more enjoyable than 2 for me

Tales Of Graces Ƒ Retro Review – Holding Out For a Hero

Gary Green said: Namco Bandai heard the call of many fans asking for the PlayStation release of Tales of Graces which was originally released seemingly exclusively for the Wii back in 2009. If you’re acquainted with the Tales series then Graces f won’t be something entirely new to you, yet if you’re a newcomer then you’ll find a plethora of gameplay mechanics and nuances that distinguish this series from other JRPGs. While the game finds itself following the traditional archetype of JRPGs, such as a somewhat clichéd story, Graces has something to offer to both veterans and newcomers alike.

Odd this and the xillia games still haven't gotten remasters yet.
