Evolved Gaming writes: "The Punisher is known for one thing, punishing things….Yeah, that was bad…anyways, most people have heard of The Punisher by this time so I won't go into the back story of the character.Now, No Mercy puts you in the shoes of Frank Castle as he kills waves and waves and waves of really stupid bad guys. I say this because the game plays like an arena based, Unreal Tournament-style first person shooter. Not to say that's a bad thing, I love UT, but UT does this better."

Gamer 2.0 writes: "The Punisher: No Mercy is Marvel's attempt to release comic inspired games as downloadable content. While The Punisher in itself is a dull character to completely base an entire game around, this PSN title does nothing to change the feelings towards him. With a boring single player mode, repetitive gunplay and serious, serious bugs and glitches that hinder almost every aspect of the game, The Punisher: No Mercy feels almost like an unfinished product that was released for the sake of trying to cash in on the popular Marvel names."
