Sony Start Advertising The Right Way?

Sony Europe has begun a new wave of advertisements in the UK, which specifically mention the PS3 or PlayStation formats only.

Why are they advertising the sh!t games you ask? I remember seeing the original Transformers game at no.1 for a while in GAME. Like it or not, there are more casual gamers out there and they buy CRAP!

How about a commercial saying your console has built-in WiFi? Free online? You know, the actual advantages of the PS3. Might be a bit too innovative for Sony's "find out for yourself" ad department.

Thank god your so ignorant otherwise Microsoft would never have gotten away with RRoD... bu what's that they gave you a three year warranty... which they attempted to take away by changing RRoD to E74 and there's still people like you praising them over Sony who last I checked didn't charge for online to pay for a faulty console

And what are these two games? Last I checked three good exclusives have came out thus far which are Killzone 2(looks far better than any 360 game), inFAMOUS(Which is FAR more fun than GTA IV) and MLB 09... and we still have Uncharted 2 which looks outstanding and plays great. Oh but what's that Gears which is closer to a car simulator than anything else because you weight like a ton and the gun is pretty weak compared to Uncharted where you are nimble. Oh and the horror in Uncharted 1 is better than the poorly explained night/scary level in Gears 2 which ironically also has inferior Graphics.

Uncharted 2 won game of the show at E3 btw...

So what you'd rather 10 mediocore games which you'll play once or 5 games Like... Resistance, Killzone 2, inFAMOUS, Uncharted 2 and Heavy Rain which you'll reply many times and have more fun play.

Too Human better than Uncharted 2, well I haven't played either but for me Uncharted 1 was one of the better games this generation again your entitled to your opinion but many will disagree with you.

I will play the games I either like the look of or like the demo and I certainly wouldn't have it any other way, fun for me might not be fun for you... probably because I don't mind which platform it's on while you can only have fun on 360 only or 360 AND PC only games.

Have fun convincing yourself the 360 is better I just hope you never wake up to look in the mirror and realise how stupid you've been. A good game is a good game regardless of platform... just enjoy it.

Imo, Sony sold more PS3 than Xbox 360 since launch. (dont forget xbox 360 has a year headstart) I think PS3 is doing fine.
After 9 years, PS2 is doing very very well.

Sony has other products, PSP, PS2 and non gaming products TV, Radio etc etc.

PSP is outselling 360 by the tens of thousands.

PS3 is only behind 360 sales a fraction.

With PSP sales alone Sony beats Microsoft console wise, the PS3 is just the icing on the cake.

Just go and look at your exclusive 360 games because it's the whole point of why you own a 360 and not a PS3 because you obviously want games that are exclusive to your console but instead you love multiplat games better which don't even use the PS3's nor the 360's hardware to it's limits.

Exclusive games are made using the 1 particular console to it's limits and so far Sony has won the Exclusives field.

Here in France, the Harry Potter ad shows a Wii-only game, with similar (to not say identical) footage, plus kids playing with the Wiimote "OMG you saw mom how it's funny?".

Funny when EU has been WAY more supportive of the PS3 that SCEE treat us like idiots, lag behind every other Sony territory in trms of releases(and also Home spaces despite apparently being in control of Home overall!)and tell us bare faced lies about things like the video store EVER arriving here!

Then again I cn't get all te features of Live in the UK either-no Netflix among other things so I guess that MS and Sony both feel that Europe doesn't want or cannot figure out downloading or steaming the odd film!

As for the ads-it's a ddgy MS tactic but als fair I guess but they'd be better adding more, and better multis and exclusives while most importantly explaining why, despite the price, the PS3 offers most for your money. Most laymen don't realise you don't pay for PSN in the UK. I've told a couple of people looking at consoles(in Asda of all places!)that no, it isn't like Live in that you do not have an extra fee. On one occasion the fella in the electronics dept didn't seem to know himself-or he just wanted to sell a 360 instead. POint is Sony need to allow people the chance to hear what they get in the box with PS3 as, often, they don't know or worse, think there's the same as with a 360.

So tahhing a HP game as if it's exclusive is a very small step.

While slow to start has recently picked up.I have seen numerous Infamous commercials lately(here in Adanac) on TSN of all places.I am of the opinion that while advertising has it's place,it can also be detrimental unless used sparingly.I see one more Mcdonald's,Grey Goose or Dos Equis commercial and I am having my cable disconnected and retreating into the hills.
No advertisement convinced me to purchase a PS3 or little else for that matter,but everyone is different.
Advertise Sony but exercise moderation and use the flagship titles.

As for Beans,how can anyone be expected to respect you're opinion when you exhibit none whatsoever for theirs.Looking for the truth but afraid to find it I suspect.
