Microsoft is happy to announce that Xbox 360 continues to lead Sony's PS3 in next-generation gaming console sales with 199K units sold in the month of March.
now... gamers can sleep peacefully. q: one question - are they ever going to include internet browser in 360? i know the IM is coming.
So unless America is the only place that matters (obviously to Microsoft is is) then Ps3 outsold everyone in the month of March... Worldwide sales matter, not one country.
umm... MS are commenting on NPD sales, which are US numbers only.
I have the feeling that Sony fans will have a hard time accepting next month's Europe console sells numbers... If you think a console's lauch console sells reflect how well the console is doing... you are in a surprice...
Are you saying that next month's PS3 sales(!) figures are going to be a lot lower than during the launch period?
ps3 sales will be fine and ps3 will do fine for the rest of the year it will do probably about 11mill
Sure it will. 7.5 Mill seems more realalistic. Sofware will convert many casual consumers away from Sony.
the fact that the Wii is beating them every month. =P
nothing next-gen about it! JUMP-IN :P
I'll post this now. Figure next months NPD to be ... Xbox 360 - 280,000 units ( On Elite demand which surprisingly is huge ) PS3 - 110,000 units ( No big releases , yet. )
could care-less about a kids toy.(sorry nintendo) The Ps3 is the real competition. The thinhking is, if everybody was to own a Wii and a 360, while the PS3 sinks, then why would MS care. Well eventually Of course I would care. I want all three systems to fair well. Right now the 360 looks more promising, as the PS3 was built on all promises and have not yet delivered or slaughtered MS, like sony and it's fanboys said. The attach rate is the most important thing here. Even if SOny has more market-share, the attach rate of games with 360 users, insures developers will comtinue to pump out games, hence keeping MS on track and being a success that I think they have been. You just can't argue 360 fans buy games, regardless of what the user-base is right now.
