CG.biz: On July 14th the Develop Conference opens its doors, and for the first time the event includes a special emphasis on casual gaming, which will see the likes of Matt Spall take to the stage.
The Evolve series of events will focus on how to develop games for new platforms including mobile, iPhone and XBLA, new technologies such as Facebook and YouTube, and new markets like social and casual gaming.
One of the sessions on Evolve's packed schedule is a panel titled 'Crossing Over in a World Gone Casual'. Matt Spall, founder of Playora and Gimme5Games, is to join several contemporaries on stage to discuss the closing gap between traditional and casual games, and the challenges faced as the two sectors collide.
For our fourth interview with Evolve speakers in the build up to the conference, CasualGaming.biz sat down with Spall to discuss flash gaming, standing out from the crowd and what the future hold in store for the industry.
