Nintendo Life writes: "Bplus games seem to be the Marmite of WiiWare, invoking strong feelings of love or disdain from gamers in our forums, but whichever side of the fence you're on, you have to be impressed that they've been selected as one of the first participants in Marvelous Entertainment's World Game Parade. Once we heard the news we simply had to ask Bplus CEO and Art Director Bernd Geiblinger how this partnership came about and what it took to localise their latest WiiWare game, Bit Boy!! for the Japanese market."
UK gaming site 7outof10 takes a look at the retro-themed Bit Boy!! for Nintendo Wii: "Bit Boy wants you to nurture and embrace that retro-advocating videogame historian within. It wants you to recall cherished memories from the Atari era or the domination of the NES, SNES and N64; to relive the generational jump of the Playstation, and ultimately appreciate the sedate and comfy prowess of the Wii."
IGN writes: "That's a better representation of the flow of time and influence through the gaming industry than Bit Boy presents, as no company would have ever kept a franchise so locked down to the restrictions of the original Atari 2600 design all the way through three subsequent decades' worth of sequels. Had Super Bit Boy, Bit Boy 3D or the Bit Boy 64 stages completely altered the gameplay and offered something wholly unique, this overall WiiWare package would have better realized its initial potential. But it didn't, so it doesn't".
