Today on the PS Store a new puzzle game: Numblast
The three different game modes will test your puzzle skills:
* The Endless mode lets you play for as long as you can, until the field is covered by inert grey cubes which cannot be swapped.
* Time Trial gives you 3 minutes to detonate as many cubes as possible.
* In Puzzle mode, you will have to detonate all the cubes in preset arrangements with as few rotations as possible.
While I do enjoy puzzle games, Numblast was never as fun to play as, say, Critter Crunch or some of the other puzzle greats like Lumines. Part of that I think has to do with the visual style, and another part has to do with the gameplay that just isn't all that inviting for the user to experiment with - it's chain chain chain, all the way around the board, then wait for the board to refill, then it's back to chainin' again. It's easy to recommend this to hardcore puzzle fans, who will get exactly their five dollars worth and not a penny more, but others should pass on it in favor of better puzzle games on PSN.
not a very good score from this site and yet other sites have said it was a great game
Developed by Japan Studios, it's an odd puzzle game with a focus on numbers. The core goal is to twist and rotate like-numbered blocks into 2 x 2 squares, thereby creating a match. Once a match is complete, the now-glowing blocks leave the screen after counting upwards by one digit. The latter is an important bit of information -- the key to clearing the entire screen and winning big is twisting the higher-numbered blocks to go along with the initial clearing.

About damn time Final Fantasy Dissida was on the PS Store. But it's too little too late. I've got bigger, better games I want to spend my PSN wallet funds on for my PSPgo.
Cool, a Trine demo. I've been wondering how it actually plays and handles on the PS3.
