According to a job posting listed today on Monolith Productions' official website, the team behind Condemned, F.E.A.R., and classic No One Lives Forever is looking to hire an engineer to work on a new first person shooting game for the Playstation 3, PC, and Xbox 360. The objectives, you say? Thought you'd never ask:
"Work closely with engineers, designers, and artists on the creation of game systems for a cutting-edge first-person action game on PlayStation 3, XBox 360 and PC."
It's also worthy to note that Monolith explained it to be for a AAA title, so there's no doubt that this ad isn't just for general staff extension. A F.E.A.R. sequel? Condemned sequel? Something new? What do you think they could be working on next?
Super Space Club is now on Xbox
Deadly Premonition is a pretty weird game, but all of these absolute oddities are even weirder.
"Marvelous Europe today joined acclaimed Japanese developer MAGES. in the full reveal of "Corpse Party II: Darkness Distortion" and confirmed that the title will get a physical release across Europe and Australia for the Nintendo Switch™ system, and a digital-only release for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, and Windows PC via Steam in Autumn 2024." - Marvelous Europe and MAGES.
No One Lives Forever would be fun to play again.
After FEAR 2, I don't really expect anything cutting edge or interesting from Monolith.
