If you have been keeping a close eye on the site over the last couple of weeks you would have seen Gameplayer's countdown of the most impressive games of E3 2009. This list - which you can read in full here - was based on the impact of the gameplay experiences Chris Stead had experienced over the show, and not so much on hype, brand power or a snazzy trailer offering which may or may not be CGI. Naturally, there had to be some hard cuts from that list because you really do see so many new games at E3. In fact, if you've followed the list you're probably wondering why some games - your personal favourites perhaps - didn't make it. So Chris thought he should explain…
Neon Apex: Beyond the Limit mixes fast racing and anime flair, but messy handling and visual clutter slow it down.
Bethesda has executed the launch of Oblivion Remastered masterfully, said analyst firm Newzoo, delivering outstanding revenue performance.
Bethesda is better than ever under Xbox.
Here´s hoping they will transition from Creation Engine to UE5 or UE6 for TES VI and Fallout 5 the same way they did with Oblivion Remastered
Also the Skyblivion team invited to Bethesda Studios, now that is a dev I can respect.

Unlike some other studios who are pieces of shit along with Nintendo.
It's definitely closer to a remake as well and for only $50 when they definitely could've charged $70 and still sell very well because of the name. Good on bethesda.
Blades of Fire is a solid but uneven debut as MercurySteam’s new IP, blending satisfying weapon-crafting with God of War-inspired combat.
I smell blood in the water!
Many on this list I was impressed with..
does anybody know what DID make this douchebags E3 list???
He wasnt impressed with
God of war3
Bioshock2
Assassins creed2
Modern Warfare2
Alan Wake
Dantes Inferno
And a whole lot of other games that make you wanna say WTF?
Modern Warfare 2 didn't impress me.
The Modern Warfare 2 gameplay that was shown wasn't particularly awe inspiring, especially compared to other games that were shown at the press conferences. It was, more or less, just pick the most colourless level in the entire game to show off a climbing mechanic (that will definitely get annoying) and a driving part.
I would take out Assassin's Creed 2, Bioshock 2, & God of War 3 from that list though.
