NIS America explains decision to make Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! What Did I Do To Deserve This? download-only

Nao Zook: "I wish we could satisfy all of our fans/ prospective Badman lovers/everyone else. However, we realized that it is simply not physically or financially possible. We wish that we could release Badman in both forms: download and UMD. But we had to choose one or the other."

I think download only is the way to go, like a PSN title:
it is going to be such a niche title that giving it a full release doesn't make much financial sense.

From Bad To Lord

Allison Walter – Product and Development Manager for Europe, NIS America: Hi everyone! I have a few bits of important news to announce!

The first is, Badman has decided to change his bad image, or at least his name. Let it be known: The Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman series will immediately be referred to as What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord!? The original title had a conflict of interest with an existing IP and it was not NIS America's intention to create any conflict. This new title is intended to better represent the game's whacky retro dungeon world and connect the player's awareness with the overall theme of the game.

Now the title has no pesky syllables that could be used to identify the game.

stupid long-ass name for no reason except just to be long and obnoxious to say.

Yeah, though I suppose it does make it unique in its obnoxiously own little way.

A delay to change a name :)?
Cool game tho, dont mind a sequel.

Probably had to do with DC comics owning Plastic Man

Plasticman?

Thought this whole thing was about badman being too close to Batman. The "holy" being a direct rip on the 60's TV show.

Godmars, it was a joke. At least, I think it was.

Both old & new names are really stupid sounding

Diehard GameFAN: Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! 2 Demo Impressions (PSP)

Like in the last game, you take on the role of God of Destruction who for whatever reason serves our old pal the simpering craven Badman and manages the ecosystem in his dungeon. The story mode is longer and broken up into eight chapters, though only the first area is accessible in the demo. This time around, the ultimate goal is to raise Badman's palace above the ocean's surface. There's also a whole new mode, Badman's Chamber, which is a free-for-all sandbox for you to tinker with an ecosystem at your leisure without worrying about heroes coming in to stomp all over it. Unfortunately, this mode is locked in the demo, so I couldn't test it out. Hiding the porn stash, Badman?
