Upcoming board-fest SKATE is set to deliver the feel of skating through innovative controls, authentic cameras and a fully reactive skateboarding city according to publishers EA.The game features professional skaters such as Danny Way and PJ Ladd, as well as a reactive city and relevant in-game cameras that will capture and deliver the most authentic console skateboard videogame experience to date. Can it ollie it's way to the top over Tony Hawk though? Skate should be hitting the shelves around August but in the meantime check out the new screenshots and prepare your best grinding action!
EA has introduced fully functional microtransactions in the Closed Alpha for its upcoming free-to-play title, Skate.
Is anyone really surprised? This is the same company that once considered charging for every time you reload your weapon in Battlefield. These guys are the worst.
Microtransactions in EA Skate include bundles worth up to 20 US Dollars, with in-game credits apparently being difficult to earn.
EA announced the new Skate game is headed to consoles and PC next year.
what a coincidence... just the other day T Hawk was said to be in talks with Activision for a revival as well. I swear, EA and Activision have spies among their ranks. CoD info begets Battlefield info just as T Hawk begets Skate.
This isnt really breaking news. The screens arent new either.
Those screens (+ more) and an early gameplay video have been on Gamesradar for a while now along with a playtest report and some other info.
Still, the game is shaping up to be amazing! It sounds a lot more focused on the fun of skateboarding rather than the trick-whore fest that the TH games have become.
those screens don't look very good, and we won't know if this game feels like skating until we play it
