South Side Gamer writes: "After twenty years the fans have finally gotten a sequel to the ghostbusters movie; the true fan service that anyone could hope for was made into a video game with a fresh new storyline along with the original actors, plenty of features and items to keep the fans busy for a long time to come, and multiplayer. After countless of games since the nintendo days it would seem like this one holds up to it's promises than the older generation games. With a few downsides and glitches is this game really worth the purchase of your hard earned money and sweet child hood memories come back to life?"

It isn’t a masterpiece of a game, and neither was the movie, but it reminds us again that it is ok for entertainment to just be entertaining. It is a game that deserves to be remastered and remembered. And 35 years later, it also serves to remind us that a remaster doesn’t always need to be Fall Out Boy and Missy Elliott. Sometimes, Ray Parker Jr. is exactly who you need to call."
