After a significant delay just a few weeks before the game was originally set to launch due to a "showstopping bug", Class of Heroes finally came out on June 9th. Having played many an Atlus game in the past, all it took was the game's trailer to get me interested in this one.
This game has all the concepts and makings to be AMAZING. Unfortunately it falls just short of that due to some quirks with the gameplay...
"The London-based (the UK) indie games publisher PQube and Tokyo-based (Japan) video games publisher and developer Acquire, today announced with great delight and excitement that "Class of Heroes 1 & 2: Complete Edition", is coming to PC (Steam) and consoles (PS5 and the Nintendo Switch) on April 26th, 2024." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
Atlus fans confined to Sony’s duo of handhelds shouldn’t feel slighted over this week’s generous eShop savings, as a mountain of sweet discounts have spilled over to the PSN store this week as well.
siliconera.com: Add ZeroDiv, makers of Class of Heroes and Hakuoki: Warriors of the Shinsengumi, to the PlayStation Vita developer list. The Tokyo based developer is the developer of Holy Sorcery Story, a RPG from Compile Heart. Mota the character designer from 7th Dragon is the character designer for Holy Sorcery Story too.
Ah...I love RPGs and generally don't listen to much to reviews, but apparently a few people I've talked to have been disappointed with the title thus far. Yet looking at the reasoning for the score I'd say I may very well add this to my list of PSP titles and pick it up sometime, Why? well because of this:
"- Lost: PERMANENTLY LOSING CHARACTERS YOU’VE SPENT HOURS WORKING ON IS A BAD THING"
I don't know why, but I'm going to take that as a direct challenge...:3
