The Sims 3 took the top two spots on the US PC games chart during the week ended June 6, according to NPD sales data.
As well as leading the games chart, the standard and collector's editions of the title also topped the wider US PC software rankings, which include business and home education products.
Publisher EA said recently that the title had recorded its best PC launch ever after selling 1.4 million copies globally in its debut week. The game has occupied the top spot in the UK chart for the past two weeks.
The Sims 2 Double Deluxe placed third on the weekly US games chart, while World Of Warcraft releases Wrath Of The Lich King and Battle Chest rounded off the top five.
