Perrin Kaplan: Wii Shortages Could 'Last for Some Time'

In a recent podcast on the website Game Theory, Nintendo of America's vice president of marketing and corporate affairs Perrin Kaplan acknowledged that Wii shortages continue to be a problem. Although Nintendo has been doing its best to produce as many Wii units as quickly as possible, and has previously denied that the company is creating an 'artificial' shortage, Kaplan said that the production numbers "continue to rise but the product is so very popular that we may see the situation last for some time."
