TPG writes, "I like Tower Defense games. I like them alot. The one that got me into the genre is now considered a klassic: Desktop Tower Defense, on Kongregate. This is a flash game, fully free, that you can play on your computer. While at work, say. The premise is simple – keep all the little hand-drawn creepy bad guys from getting from point A at their entry gate to point B at their exit gate. The metaphor they crawl across is a desktop, with some clear space amongst the clutter, you messy monkey."
EDGE - WarCraft may have started it, but it was a first-time Flash programmer from the UK who helped ease tower defence games out of their niche.
If you know me you know I love two genres of games… Shooters and tower defense. I often find myself scanning the web in search of new free tower defense games. A ways back, while on this search I found myself on dedegames. There I discovered a game that I have indulged in for hours while on the job. This game is called Garden, TD.
Gametrailers writes: "Bring the addiction with you on the Nintendo DS."
That this came out on the DS rather than the iPhone/touch, but at least it actually stands out on the DS rather than being 'yet another' tower defense game on the iPhone.
Tower defense games have never been too much fun for me, this one looks alright, but it's still the same old thing
I have yet to come across a Tower Defense Game that i liked. Even the rudimentary version based around Final Fantasy wasn't enough. But i have tried the original version of this when it was a flash based game. It's quirky and fun, just can't go the distance with me.
Jeezes, another platform. I'd still rather play one on my computer. I always get in trouble when I bring my DS to work.
huh, a full retail version?
Wouldn't a DSiware release make more sense?
