"Now that the dust has settled from the best E3 in years, we can take a moment to process the years' worth of upcoming-release insanity that we took in over four days – and that means making early, snap judgments based on what we've seen and played. One of the biggest and best presents for PS3 fans this year was a playable demo of the long-awaited God of War III, and it was joined on the show floor by a few games that clearly took their cues from Kratos' past exploits (or were at least similar enough for us to draw comparisons between them). But are they worthy adversaries, or merely pretenders to the throne? Only by dissecting each one can we decide for sure!"
Creator of Bayonetta, Devil May Cry, Okami, Viewtiful Joe, and Wonderful 101 comments on how they're all part of the same universe.
I could definitely see a Bayonetta/Dante game. Imagine them initially battling each other before eventually teaming up to take on the big baddies. Now, imagine what their child(ren) would be like.
Bayonetta and Dante I could see but even then with how their lore differs it's a hard sell. For the others...I just can't see it at all.

There's still time for the Visceral Games cult classic action-adventure game Dante's Inferno to return to the limelight 15 years later.
Absolutely loved this game. Don't know why it went under the radar with so many people.
I think it was a couple of factors,
1. Everyone was anxiously waiting for God of War 3 to release(myself included), so we could see what the Santa Monica Studio were going to accomplish with the mighty PS3.
2. It was such a direct ripoff of the GoW formula right down to the button prompts, (such as clicking L3 & R3 to activate your ultimate) .
Now, of course lots of games borrow and evolve ideas, but this was like a carbon copy with a different skin and not quite as good or pretty.
3. It was cool to look at, it played fine, good artistic design and everything, but our standards were astronomically high after GoW 1 & 2… and it just wasn’t anything to write home about.
That being said, I have been wanting to revisit it for years.
I think with a few live service features EA could revive the IP and turn it into a million dollar franchise.
She also played Chun-Li and Major from Ghost in the Shell
oh shit, i did know that the Major voice actress passed away but i didnt know she voiced bayonetta too
rest in peace
Why does everything have to be against something else? Why does every game have to be compared to another, no matter how tenuous the connection may be? Why can't gamers just converse, and debate, in a civilized manner; ushering in a renaissance of both games and the human spirit? When will these hyperbolic and rhetorical questions end?
those are games you buy day one
Only competitor to God of War3 is Castlevania Lords of Shadow.
Look at the E3 trailer Frame by Frame and tell me it doesn't look as good os GoW3.
Gamesradar vs Famine vs AIDS vs Being touched by a creepy old man.
Bayonetta owns both games hands down. Simply because Bayonetta is bringing action gameplay to a whole new level, while God of War 3 is more of the same, and Dante's Inferno is a cut-and-paste copy of God of War's gameplay systems in a cool environment.
