The sequel to id's 2001 hit Return to Castle Wolfenstein has been in gestation for a considerable time, which probably isn't too surprising given the studio's pedigree. TVG first heard word on a new Wolfenstein title back in 2005 at E3 and X05, but they have had a long time to wait until the title finally materialised.
But finally the Raven developed title is on the horizon. TVG recently got the chance to speak with id's Steve Nix Director of Business Development and Peter Sokal Community Manager at a roundtable interview.

Definitely a good game and loved the art style. My daughter watched me play it when she was 4 years old. I’ll have to replay it with her someday now that she’s older. It’s crazy it’s been around 11 years.
I was thinking of pulling out my PS3 super slim this winter to replay Rain, and try to tackle some of the backlog I acquired.
I love Enslaved such a sleeper hit, Asuras Wrath a very good game I still own, and I wish EA would put out a new Dante's Inferno another game I enjoyed. I never heard of the Rain game I might have to try it out might give Ebay a snoop or two.

Sometimes, you want a relatable villain who makes you question your own morality. Other times, you want Frau Engel.
It got old tbh. Machine needed a break from the IP. Indie is a good reprieve.

I really wish they'd remake Return to Castle Wolfenstein from the ground up. Easily the best of them all.
