I would say that this article is a bit off. I'm not sure if its that the writer is just misinformed, or if it is actually really old information/ speculation. Particularly the fact that a couple key major games are missing from this list: Uncharted and LittleBigPlanet and I think Burnout 5 should also be in the list.
Aside from that though, some of the descriptions seem sparse or just incorect. We know for a fact that HS features much more than just arena fighting. Also, wasn't it recently confirmed that Warhawk will be both Downloadable and on blu-ray eventually.
On the other hand if that really is the intended September launch list, color me impressed.

Albie360, i wouldn't say the PS3 has crappy graphics. While i haven't seen anything truly amazing aside from motostorm, minus the gameplay, both systems seem to be matching graphically for now at least. Both consoles have something good about them. The PS3 has alot of potential, while the 360 has great games, including ones that were once PS3 exclusives. But still give the PS3 time. Thats what im doing. Once the PS3 has a bunch of great games that i want, ill buy it. As for now, i'm fine with my 360.

Motorstorm doesn't have the best graphics, but the control is pretty much spot on albie. The terrain physics are neat too.

I'm not a Sony fan either, as I'm sure a few of these people can tell you, but the truth is that all the games I've played on PS3 have had decent to excellent control.

Also, Gears of War could have absolutely been on the PS3. It probably couldn't be ported since they built it specifically for the 360- that would have been a more accurate statement. Only sex toys vibrate? How come Sony settled with Immersion then and are planning on re-releasing a new controller with rumble? (not that any of the first gen PS3 games will support it, much like Home) it's a logistics mess Sony has created.

And a 9GB limit is non-existant. If the games actually need more space, there's a little technique that the developers can use made popular by final Fantasy VII, called save and swap.

The data limit is a myth, perpetuated by Sony so they can justify charging you $200 more than you need to pay, as well as getting more fees from developers and helping to keep BluRay from becoming the next Betamax.

Fact is, while Resistance used uncompressed data and used 22GB, Insom could have used lossless compression codecs and had the whole game looking just as good in less than 8GB. Any story otherwise is propoganda designed to support a disc format that uses outdated video codices and costs more to make.

sony did make up with immersion but i have seen no proof of sixaxis dualshock comming any time soon. Mgs4 developers dont even know yet...plus my control wont rumble because i will not go buy another controller just for rumble( usually i turn the rumble off anyways) so......do you think bio shock will fit on a 9gig dvd? did you really like swapping discs? didnt developers have problems fitting games on a dvd last gen? dosent this give developers the option of adding more? i think next-next-gen games will be huge and will probably be released on hard drives unless our internet conections move at 100mb per sec

The best game of 2006 is on the 360. Which got multiple awards. This game, Gears of War, pwned the nr.1 on the PS3 Resistance which was just a mediocore shooting experience. Not AAA. Motorstorm is a nice game with good quality visuals, but still not up to the promised trailer @ E3 2005 CGI.

I am not saying Bioshock will come out on the PS3. But if you think about it why would it not. Yes MS said it would be exclusive may be it is but only for six months or so. Plus not to long ago 1up said to PS3 fans to look out for some games people thought would only be on the 360. People thought 1up was talking about Dead rising and Lost Planet. But what if it was really this game instead. Also just because 2K says it will only be on the PC and 360 does not make it true. Capcom said time and time again that Devil May Cry was exclusive but we all know how that turned out. So this could happen too.

As for the other games I hope that Lair does not come out then I was wanting to play it soon. But if it is true I guess I will have to get NGS in the mean time.

that unfortunately appears to be true in this case. His arguments are invalid in every other instance. The PS3 CELL is not noticably better than the PowerPC, certainly not to a point where you can't make a game run on it, the graphics processor is noticably better on the 360, as well as the audio processors. the memory architecture is also superior on the 360. The space limitation is balderdash, since any game large enough can easily be broken into multiple discs and/or DLC.

There is absolutely no reason Kojima shouldn't appreciate the 360 on an equal term with the PS3, except for the fact that the PS3 is Japanese in origin, and the 360 is not.

It's a harsh stereotype, to be sure, but I see no other reason for him to make such baseless, fanboy inspiring comments except for a predelection for Japanese over American consoles. You know, I hope I'm wrong, and there is something to the PS3 I haven't seen yet that Kojima has, but I sure haven't seen any evidence for it yet.

I realize you were posting in defense of some anti-PS3 remarks, but saying the 360 has hit its limits in the first year is just as retarded and fanboy-inspired as those saying the PS3 couldn't handle what the 360 can.

Both sides need to accept the fact that both machines are quite capable. No the 360 has not hit its limits. Did the PS2 the first year? Did the Xbox the first year? No, in fact no console hit its limits that early. Has the majority of cross-platform games looked better on the 360 so far? Yes, but that does not mean the PS3 isn't capable. The reality is that the PS3 isn't what Sony said it was. It isn't blowing anything away and yes it's easy to poke fun at the PS3 for that. That's Sony's own doing, however, they shouldn't have over-hyped like they always do. This does not in any way mean that the PS3 isn't a fine piece of hardware that can crank out some quality games, it's just not as great as Sony said it was. Resistance probably would have been received better if it wasn't blown away by Gears. It's still a solid game that shows potential for the PS3. Motorstorm isn't really all that great of a game, but it does do a lot right in the graphics/physics department that also shows that the PS3 will be able to crank out some quality stuff.

However, GaMr, quoting Criterion and Kojima on anti-360 stuff, who are both open and public about their love of the PS3/Sony, is like quoting Bungie and Carmack about anti-PS3 stuff. In fact, quotes could go back and forth all day long about who likes what system. This should actually go to show fanboys from both sides that both systems are quality. Each has its postives and negatives. The PS3 may have a better physics-suited CPU, while the 360 has a more advanced GPU. The PS3 may have more optical storage, while the 360 has better developers tools and an easier programming style. The 360 may have more flexible RAM, while the PS3 has a theoretically more advanced CPU structure. This could go on.

These hardware discussions need to cease since they are so pointless. The PS3 is not as good as Sony said, but is still quite good. The 360 has not hit its limits or will anytime soon, and is still quite good. End of story. The real differences between the systems are the game line-ups, services, and price structure. Argue these since they are actual, legit differences that could persuade potential buyers.

The PS3's "problem" - if it has one - is that Sony said it will flaten the 360. It doesn't, they are equal. If Sony had said they were equal from the begining, the critics couldn't make comments like "It's good, but didn't blow me away" or "It's good, but no better than the 360". But would Sony do that? All throughout 2006 bioshock was rumored to be coming to ps3. But then at X06 Microsoft announced that the game will be exclusive to 360 and pc. Now sony fanboys like to compare this to the DMC4 situation but it isnt. Did sony ever come out and say DMC4 was exclusive? No and thats because they knew didnt. Thats the same reason why microsoft never came out and said oblivion was exclusive because they knew it wasnt. Same thing. So it is exclusive to 360 and pc.

The only thing that gives bioshock any possibility of coming to ps3 (and I just realized this while typing this post) is that the company that kept saying that oblivion was not coming to ps3 last year was 2k games. The same company thats producing bioshock. hmm.
