Hot damn that's a good list. The only one i never played is AOE2 and i never finshed Chrono Trigger but it was damn good.
Speaking of what's old but holds up amazingly well and plays like a dream.. i played Symphony of the Night for the first time in 2019.. yep that's right. It became one of my favourite games of all time that i replay almost every year. I couldn't believe how good it was. That is almost impossible for me with newer games let alone older ones. Truly a special gem.
The only one I’d disagree with is doom. It shows its age badly I think. After 5 minutes of play these days you put it down.

PS1 era was full of great RPGs, PS2 was racing generation i would pick top 200 and even that would be just a fraction.
30 is way too low over the entire history of Playstation, I just wouldn't be able to narrow it down that much, I would pick 100 at least.
Yeah...really odd list. I get that it is personal preference and I love most of the games listed, but my list would definitely be different. I agree though, it would be incredibly difficult to come up with just 30.

I never bothered to play Ico, only Shadow of the Colossus.
But from my understanding, when the shadow of the colossus dude died, the kid from the ico game was born? That's why you see that baby with the horns?
Maybe I should watch the play through of Ico in YouTube to get a better understanding..
Were we (Real ICO Fans) supposed to have an alternate ending?!
