Jim Hargreave's writes: With Sony's E3 coverage for the Sony PSP pretty much all done and dusted, I can now say that I am unsure whether to have my eye on the Playstation 3 this holiday season, or its slender slide-screen brother. I will be picking up the PSPGO on the day of release [October 1st] not just for the built in wi-fi for online play WHEREVER you may be, not just that it's a lot lighter and slimmer, or even the 16GB internal memory. It's the long line-up of amazing games for the PSP that is my incentive, and here is my extensive list of the top 14 titles I intend to get hold of:
Former Sony Interactive Entertainment executive Shuhei Yoshida has shared how his feedback played a role in the success of Gran Turismo.
To this day, anyone that plays a GT game for the first time and doesn't have experience with this kind of game will crash at the first corner, so not really sure what Shu is claiming here. I literally saw this happen a few months ago at an event where they had GT7 with VR2 up on a stage and members of the public got to try it out.
Nathan Williams from Bebington has made a dream leap from virtual tracks to real-world glory, clinching victory in his debut race in the OT Coupe with Toyo
There's still time for the Visceral Games cult classic action-adventure game Dante's Inferno to return to the limelight 15 years later.
Absolutely loved this game. Don't know why it went under the radar with so many people.
I think it was a couple of factors,
1. Everyone was anxiously waiting for God of War 3 to release(myself included), so we could see what the Santa Monica Studio were going to accomplish with the mighty PS3.
2. It was such a direct ripoff of the GoW formula right down to the button prompts, (such as clicking L3 & R3 to activate your ultimate) .
Now, of course lots of games borrow and evolve ideas, but this was like a carbon copy with a different skin and not quite as good or pretty.
3. It was cool to look at, it played fine, good artistic design and everything, but our standards were astronomically high after GoW 1 & 2… and it just wasn’t anything to write home about.
That being said, I have been wanting to revisit it for years.
I think with a few live service features EA could revive the IP and turn it into a million dollar franchise.
Man I love my PSP. I have the original one and have never felt like I needed to get another one because Sony did so well in the original design.
I think I am most excited about the new Metal Gear game as that is easily my favorite franchise of all time.
Oh yeah just FYI, Gamestop is having a sale this weekend 20% off any used PSP games. So go get some awesome PSP games guys!
And THAT is why I finally bought a PSP last Tuesday (after seeing the Sony conference). I've been a Playstation guy since 1997 (when my mom made the amazing mistake of getting a psx when I asked for an n64), and have had all the systems except the PSP.
Crisis Core almost got me. Same with GoW:CoO. But these were just too much--had to get me a psp. :)

When did PSP launch, like 2004? It's crazy that Sony's taken this long to give PSP it's full support...but it's so sweet that it's finally happening.
Want me some LBP.
