There are a huge number of MMOs to choose from at the moment - some would say too many. Certain mainstream genres are underrepresented in MMOs, but that hasn't stopped some niche titles from springing up, many of them coming from Korean developers. However, one of the most niche titles has to be The Endless Forest, from Belgian developer Tale of Tales.
Hardcore Gamer: The game survived from 2006 onward, but keeping the game running has proved tough. After all, it’s a free MMO! Tale of Tales took to Indiegogo to help fund the “second decade” of The Endless Forest.
Josh Griffiths writes: "You may remember the first person exploration game Sunset from Kickstarter a few years ago. You may also remember its developer, Tale of Tales. They announced that Sunset was a financial failure, and that they felt they had no choice but to walk away from the comercial gaming industry for good. Fast forward to Halloween 2016 of all days, and the company seems to have reversed their decision somewhat."
In honor of Tale of Tales 10th anniversary (time flies), the Belgian company is offering the Experiments and Prototypes bundle which features 18 titles.
