Koku Gamer writes: "It only seems a few weeks ago that I was reviewing SBK 08 (which may be because that is actually true) and I have been excited about SBK 09 for some time mainly due to the much touted addition of damage to the bikes. I expected to see pieces of the bike flying off after a particularly nasty collision but instead the reality was so much more different. And when I say different I do not necessarily mean that in a good way."
Since late last year, Moto GP 08 has undoubtedly held the crown for bike racing games on both PC and Console. The announcement of SBK 09 made for salivating mouths and questions of whether it could topple Moto GP's mountain, and it may just do that.
SBK 09 recommended to the fans of the competition and can be fun for everyone else.
* Accessible to all players

MotoGP 08 was one of those games that I thought it would be the ultimate racing game for bike fans, but SBK-09: Superbike World Championship made me change my mind. I didn't play the last year's installment in the series, and I'm happy not to, otherwise I would have never tried the last one. Seems that SBK-08 brought low sales and a big disappointment for all the racing fans, with cheap graphics and a bizarre handling system, but somehow Black Bean had the courage to continue the series creating this time a brand new game that impressed most of the critics, including me."

Good review
This is indeed a great game, but falls short of MotoGP 08 I think, they both need improvement I agree, so we'll see what the future holds for both franchises.
And MotoGP on the PSP was a massive disappointment. Hope this one is better and by the sounds of things it is^^
Wow, I never even knew this was for PSP. Great review though.
