i will be buying this

"JU-ON: The Grudge features a new unique gameplay mechanic that measures your movements during play - the more you flinch and jump, the worse your success rate becomes. The player can progress through the game with bad scores, but it is those with a steady hand and nerves of steel that will have the most to gain from this experience. For example: while one player explores the game’s dingy environments using the Wii Remote as a flashlight, a friend can grab a second controller to trigger in-game scares."

That sounds so freaking cool

Are you serious? This game has to be a joke.

Why? It's based on the original japanese movie, which was awesome.

You must have watched a different version than I did. (Maybe Ju-on:2-this one was okay)
My wife and I were laughing our socks off by the end of the first movie.

That throaty "ahhhhhhh" was hilarious. After that movie it became a standing joke for us.

It could be an interesting game, but with all the branching stories that make it Ju-On I'm not sure how it would work.

While the game is seemingly a joke (even to me) the control scheme for this is next-gen, in my eyes.

The more you flinch and what not, the more your success in the game is threatened?
Sounds awesome to me. I would like to see more Wii titles use similar control scheme innovation.

yeh it sounds like its actually a game trying to make the most out of the wii. i've been put off so far from buying one because to me it's just waving your arms around (at least untill they add motion plus perhaps) and from what i've hear a lot of game play better with the classic controller than with motion controls lol

That movie was one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. The meowing kid was priceless. Terrible as a horror movie tho.
