What? The porn scene? By the looks of that photo, I guessed the porn scene. Did I win? Was that the correct answer?

Edit: @Evlen6: Thanks for the info, I had no idea what that was from, I can't say I am surprised though.

That's actually from THQ's marketing campaign for MX vs. ATV IIRC, I think it was the 2007 game.

If 30-36 year olds were the average gamer, then how come gaming is all about the casuals? You know kids, teens and older gamers? And how come the Wii and DS sell more if these gamers (30-36 yr olds) don't even like Nintendo products.

Just making fun of a pointless article, trying to say who does what. By the look of the sell charts, More gamers buy Wii games and FPS games, so the average gamer is about 10-30 if you really do the math/research.

I think that the 30-36 yr olds may be the most vocal bunch, but they hardly come threw when it comes to buying games.

age groups and gamer groups are 2 different things. you can find a 15 year old hardcore gamer, just like you can find a 36 year old casual gamer. and there's things like jobs, school, and your home and social life.

The average gamer age is 35. The average buyer of video games is 40. That's according to the Entertainment Software Association.

And check this out from their website.

"Forty percent of all game players are women. In fact, women over the age of 18 represent a significantly greater portion of the game-playing population (33 percent) than boys age 17 or younger (18 percent)."

So there you go. Gaming chicks over the age of 18 represent almost double the amount of gaming boys 17 and younger.
Maybe that answers your question right there.
