SimBin has released Volvo - The Game and is now available for download (for free of course).
Car companies using video games to promote their vehicles is nothing new. Many companies licence their vehicles to big-name games (a-la Gran Turismo) as well as car-specific titles such as the PS2's game Corvette. Earlier this year, Volvo released a PC racing game of their own in part to digitally show off their S60 model. The game was a free download from GamersGate.com, though it almost isn't worth it.
GamersGate, a digital distribution service for PC games, has announced that Volvo: The Game, a downloadable PC racing title based on the new Volvo S60 Concept, will be available to all GamersGate users free of charge starting today. Volvo: The Game was designed by SimBins studio, an award-winning Swedish developer know for its high caliber PC racing titles including, STC: The Game and GTR Revolution.
