Mo-cap giant Vicon opens Eastern studio

Rig of 24 powerful Vicon T160 cameras set up at Digicinema's new CG animation studio in Poland.

California-headquartered firm Vicon, which claims to be the world's largest supplier of precision motion tracking systems, is opening a new facility at Digicinema, a Polish mo-cap hub servicing the game and film industries.

Vicom – whose owning group Oxford Metric has a clientele including Sega, Nintendo, SCE, Ubisoft, Activision-Blizzard, Electronic Arts and Square Enix – is building its CG animation studio at Digicinema by rigging 24 of the firm's latest T160 cameras.
