Sonic the Hedgehog is a wonderful game that is betrayed here by uneven optimization and emulation. The controls are also just not as precise as they need to be for such a twitch-based game. You need to make lightning-fast reflexes and responses to reach the best paths, grab the most rings, and avoid smashing into Eggman's baddies. If SEGA can fix the framerate issues and make Sonic play smoother, some of the control issues might recede. Until then, though, save your download dollars.

This game features the War of Gods erupted in the mystical realm of Asgard, known as the land of gods as seen in various movies and TV series.
