Track7 Games has contacted PS3Land to inform them that Theseis for PlayStation 3 has been cancelled. The developer blames the problem on the exceptionally high cost of developing for PS3. For now, the game will only be released on Xbox 360 and PC.
Well here you have another problem of the PSZero already...

is this list a joke ? the ps3 list is totaly uncomplete. on the other side there are many games listed under xbxo360 which will come to the ps3, for example Call of Duty 3. what a dumb !
FFXI was first Brought to PC and PS2 in Japan.. FFXI cannot be a XBOX 360 exclusive since it is multiplatform that has been out for awhile and yes its a port for the 360. Quit making crap up. Secondly you state multiple times that we don't need another sequal but yet you are proudly listing off sequels to fatten your list.
Godfather is a multiplatform game that is already out for the previous generations. As is most of your list. Which I am the Godfather of NYC; game does have replay value. Its a sweet game and it will be fun but man learn about the game before spatting off that its an exclusive.
Exclusive in game world definition means not on another system. There is timed exclusives also but if the platform did not get it first. You cannot claim the game as exclusive.
Also I'm sorry any game that I can get on a PC is not an exclusive either; that goes for any platform. If I can only get it on one system or its going to be a timed release exclusive first to a specific platform then its an exclusive.
Please take the time to properly give the exclusive lists the most accurate listing and quit talking smack about sequels if your going to list them. Everytime there is a sequel for a game that isn't going to be on your platform you go off on it. You're just as bad as SSJ is; a contradiction to your previous statements.
Since you're doing some copyying and pasting, I might as well join in.
Out of that XCrap 360 list, quite a few of those were already released on PS2 previously, of course they're not on PS3 (yet) as it's not out.
Call of Duty 3- will be on PS3 as well Final Fantasy XI- Have fun with a several year old PS2 game that was upscaled and ported for XCrap 360. Monster Madness- This is PS3 as well. Tomb Raider Legend- I know this was on PS2, PSP, and will probably be on PS3 as well. Tony Hawk's American Wasteland is on PS3 as well.
For the PS3 list you can add: Final Fantasy XIII Final Fantasy XIII: Versus Fatal Inertia Tekken 6 Unreal Tournament 2007 Untitled Naughty Dog Game Mercenaries 2 Coded Arms: Assault Eight Days Ratchet and Clank sequel Afrika Monster Hunter 3 Lair (one of the games I'm most excited about) Endless Saga Shin Megami Tensei Redwood Falls The Wall Untitled Western Shooter from Rockstar Games LA Noire Bomberman Rengoku: The End of the Century Makai Wars Taito's Extreme Project Force Then there's tons of Japanese games that not many Americans would care about, but will be able to play due to no region-encoding on PS3 games. There's also more games, this is just the ones that I noticed from Gamespot's list that are exclusive.
Well aricha forgot Silent Hill 5 and Z.O.E. 3. I REALLY don't care if the PS3 has a bunch of sequels, I love MGS, ZOE, DMC, and SH! And since I've been hearing soooo much that the PS3 is only surviving on sequels then let ME just cut down your list of games taht aren't sequels or multiplatform, in which you said was exclusive.
Xbox 360: APB <-this game is even coming out until '08, lol Battle Angel <- wtf? Blue Dragon <- looks like it was made for eight year olds Chrome Hounds <- Cool name and that's all Dead or Alive Code: Cronus <- this hasn't even been announced in Japan yet, geez Dead Rising Frame City Killer Gears of War Kameo: Elements of Power <- looks kiddish Lost Odyssey Ninety-Nine Nights Outfit Saints Row Thesis
There you go, that's all the Xbox 360 has now (just in this list) for exclusive that are original and not sequels, I rest my case.
"TheMart" I don't really understand the significance of this list since some of the games listed are exclusive because they are developed by either Sony owned or M$ owned studios....but either way I think its safe to say that most developers say its more expensive to develop a game on the PS3 than the 360. I don't think this will be a major problem for the bigger studios with deep pockets though because making a multi-platform game will maximize their sales allowing them to make a hefty profit margin. Sony can also pay smaller game developers upfront to ease the dev. costs and secure exclusive rights if they think the game its worth it. Still, M$ definitely has a upperhand when it comes to dev. costs for the same title...example early looks at RB6: Vegas for the PS3 and 360 look pretty much the same but my guess is it will cost more to make on the PS3.
i thinks its a major problem for big companies with deep pockets.a good example is capcom and its RE5, its now multplatform something we thought couldn't happen .you also mention that sony should pay smaller companies sounds good on paper but how long are can they keep paying them espcially a low profile game that risks to fail when you can spend you money on high profile and enstablished franchise like mgs
honestly sony is discouraging small companies from entering the business
I want to be careful how I say this and most importantly I am not being sarcastic.
I do feel sorry for Sony fans.
If the shoe were on the other foot, and Sony fans had been playing their PS3 since last year, and I was still waiting for a 360 that been delayed primarily because MS was shoving a MOVIE player down my throat that I might not even want I'd be pissed.
Like I said I do prefer 360 but I have been gaming since the 80's and have owned or purchased for my kids every major system starting (Including everthing SONY has made) "old skool" 1981 before alot of you were even born with pong on Mattels Intellivision.
(Atari, Colecovison, every Nintindo, playstation 1, 2 PSP, gamecube Dreamcast, segagenesis, Xbox ad now proud owner of a 360 since launch)
I was such a big Sony fan I stole my wifes nintendo and took my sega and traded them both in on launch day to get the PS1 (She still pissed about it if I bring it up) But I had to have those graphics.
I'm not starting a flame war or trying to insult anybody.
But I think Sony has been deceptive with it's fans on too many occasions. The high cost pf production will hurt PS3 along with the projectedhigh cost of software to make it profitable and the questionable live network (I'll believe it's free and runs smoothly when I see it.)
If you want to remain loyal to Sony "It's cool".
But for the first time now I will not buy a Sony gaming machine.
MS for my money has done a better job with XBOX LIVE and the games "I" like to play (Sports and FPS)
My kids like GTA and FF but I won't spend the $800 this year. Everyyone keeps saying $599 for PS (Likely way more on ebay over the holiday season, if you can find one) for a console extra contoller, carying case and a game or three, etc.) but you're gona buy stuff to go with it.
360 at launch I paid $1100..but I got two and games. The kids will be getting a Wii to keep them happy and off "my" 360.
"silent ninja" You still didn't tell me WHY you think its a major problem for big companies....I think its a very small problem for major companies like EA and Capcom, I mean really for big companies like that they can start the dev. process on the 360 first and spend some extra time & money to "port" it to the PS3 without starting the dev. process from scratch which is a way to cut dev. costs...but even if they dont, Do you actually think the extra money that it costs to make the PS3 version of RE5 won't well be worth it compared to the actual total sales for this game?...yes they may make a little more off every title sold for 360 but they will still make a pretty good profit margin off PS3 sales...which is exactly why its multi-platform. And also lets not forget that PS3 games might end up costing more than 360 games to make up for expenses. I don't think Sony is responsible for discouraging small companies to enter the business but I will agree that small companies might tend to stray away from Sony simply because of the huge dev. costs which is a bigger risk for a small company with game titles that are not well known and typically don't sell huge quantities like Capcom with RE5. Therefore Capcom is not worried about dev. costs because it has a bigger budget and a very low risk factor on the other hand small dev.'s have to choose platforms more carefully because they have a smaller budget with a higher risk factor, because if they pay for those high dev. costs and the game doesn't sell BIG then they could end up in a financial bind.
Too bad that this happened, but not surprising as they were probably building it primarily for PC, and Xbox 360 programming is pretty much the same so it would be easy to port to 360. Reworking it for the SPE's and RSX was probably not worth it for them. I was actually really looking forward to this on PS3. Oh well.
It has already been announced by developers they are developing games on the 360 and porting them to the ps3...Most multi platform games will be ports from the 360.. I don't know why they can't do the same here?? MS might have put some $ into play to have this done!!
I don't care much for Sony or their practices, but I still fail to see how people can hail this as a good thing.
Don't get me wrong... Nintendo is usually my first choice in consoles, and I have a history of knocking Sony products, but Sony has done a ton of good for this industry, and to pray that they fail... what good does that do for gaming on the whole? None.
They've made mistakes going into this next generation, and they're going to have to try and work through them, but they're not going anywhere, for better or for worse. They have a function and a purpose same as Nintendo or Microsoft do. While there's nothing wrong with prefering one system to another, there is something wrong with blind fanboyism.
I'm lucky I've got an Xbox360, but it's sad when a devloper has to reject a platform due to the lack of support from the console manufacturer.
omg, thats just sad .... hahahaha
