Yves Guillemot has his sights set on Hollywood. The chief executive of Ubisoft wants to make the world's third-largest video games company into a special effects powerhouse that can work closely with the film industry.
I reckon one of these industries will die...and I don't think it's the videogames one.
Seems like a good idea with special effects cooperation, since the quality of video games now is starting to be so advanced. Having a multi-million dollar technology behind it (even if people's machines can't render that high resolution in real time, so a lower level must be used) sounds awesome!
