I'm a bit confused. I played the Tales of Vesperia demo before I bought the game. And I bought the game last fall.

It's for Europe and ToV isn't out yet here.

..and you Americans(or Canadian or whatever) think you have it bad...

callahan095457d ago

Oh. I'm not familiar with the website, is it a European website? And the article doesn't mention anything about Europe, either. It would certainly make sense though, since the game isn't out in Europe yet. I'm in America, true, but I never complained about the service we get (except maybe about the insane number of PSone classics released on PSN Store in Japan, while we get none of the awesomeness over here). Anyway, I'm well aware that Europe gets shafted regularly and America is sitting pretty when it comes to game releases in comparison.

SpoonyRedMage5457d ago

Oh I'm not familar with the site either and I wasn't saying you specifically complain.

ToV is apparently being released next month(I'm not too sure to be honest, virtually no one keeps track of Euro release dates).

It's funny because we're the biggest market as well and if you include all of the PAL region we're even bigger and Australia and New Zealand get it worse than Europeans.

Shuya5457d ago

Yeah we in the EU are used to waiting I mean the expanded TOV has been announced for PS3 and we haven't even got the original version for 360 yet (apparently it's Due for release on 03/07/2009 according to play.com lol).

GameGambits5457d ago

That sucks for EU to have to wait this long if you are a JRPG fan since ToV is in the top 5 of JRPGs this console generation. You'll def. enjoy it if you have liked any other Tales of games.

Question though as I'm not 100% on this, but does the 360 have region lock? If so that's really gimped. I love that my PS3 isn't so I was able to import the english version of Demon's Souls and play it on my PS3 even though it's tech the Chinese Version. 360 needs downloadable patch to fix that so more EU people can enjoy games earlier by importing at the least. :(

@callahan: According to Alexa, 42% of N4G's traffic come from USA, 9.8% from UK, 4.6% from Australia, same for Canada and India, the rest is shared through other small countries.
The terms of use don't point to american laws but local ones, which means that N4G is set to be universal, despite that the vast majority of its users are american.

Hey Spoony, I'm a Canadian, and while we have most games before Europe does, I still think we have it bad :(

PSStore movies? Nope. Netflix? Not happening. EBgames/Gamestop pnline store? Not for now, we can use the US ones and pay for the shipping though. Paying 69.99 for a new game when we used to pay 59.99 about a year ago despite the fact that our dollar was about as strong as it is right now compared to the US one (I mean, since it's release, CoD4 actually had it's price go up?)? You bet!

And since I'm living in Quebec, we don't get to win prizes! Yay, 1vs100 really seems interesting when you can't a win a damn thing!

Since i live in the states. However, I haven't played the x-men origins demo yet, but screw it I'm to lazy to hook up my 360 to the net again.

wicked5457d ago

It's only a matter of plugging an RJ45 into the back of the console; you must be lazy, I am surprised you can get up in the mornings.

I had a blast with a Bugs Bunny game on PS1 as a kid. It is probably trash now but at the time, it was awesome.

"50 Cent: Blood in the sand"

Ps3 scored 6/10 all round loads of review sites but was so much fun while not a technical masterpiece in any way has a worthwhile engaging story and script and of course an unbeatable soundtrack.
