F**K YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!

Sam I will be!

Shame about the other game though, I personally thought it could out do CoD.

Edit: Wait, work for hire? Well, on a related point, Duke Nukem Forever completion...these are the guys, if you ask me.

@edit

Yeah that's exactly what I was thinking

Serious Sam 2 sucked, but I remember Serious Sam 1 on Xbox. The coop was amazing fun.

@Kigmal

Yeah, SS2 was disappointing...uninspired weapons, enemies, and levels, though it did have some great moments. I'd give it another playthrough, but it's not 360-compatible, and I sold my original Xbox.

But the first one is BC for 360, and I still fire it up from time to time. I also play with the level editor on the PC version.

(First and Second Encounter both)...and I actually enjoyed #2 as well (even on Xbox, though it took a bit of a turn in style from the PC's First and Second Encounters)...in actuality there were 3 standalone titles so far, the "first Serious Sam" game had two parts, called Encounters, so I wasn't sure if there'd be a following to that pattern or if it'd end. I could have sworn I've seen a screen shot or two of the new Serious Engine a couple months ago somewhere else, and it looked pretty slick.

I had so much fun with the Serious Editor making my own maps and all, creating warp points and building levels and adding lighting and changing the size of the enemies..

To anyone who only played the console games and written them off as poor, you haven't given the franchise its chance. That's like playing the Wii Far Cry and never playing another Far Cry game because you disliked the Wii version. The PC Serious Sam games were incredibly fun if you grew up on Quake and Doom and Duke Nukem, though the time I had personally with SS 2 on Xbox 1 was fun, except for a few frustrating parts.

YEAAAAAAH BABY!

Handheld cannons, headless screaming suicide bombers, charging bulls, and enemies the size of skyscrapers...can't wait for more Sam!

And with the demise of Duke Nukem Forever, this game is ripe for more Duke and FPS parodies.

God I would hope they'd have a new engine, the other one is like 5 years old

Cartesian3D5831d ago (Edited 5831d ago )

I swear that I saw some magazine scans showing new serious sam screen shots . (may be 1 or 2 years ago or even more !)

I dont have a link atm.

EDIT 3: I found it.. here is a healthy link :P

I wonder if the objectifying women parts were left in.

VTKC2097d ago

It be interesting considering how easily offended people are now compared to back then. 1984 George Orwell-ish.

Teflon022097d ago

This actually looks amazing. I'll need to download in the future

Duke Nukem 3D remake in Serious Sam 3 is absolutely glorious, way better than Duke Nukem Forever

DSOGaming writes: "A few hours ago, we informed you about a Star Wars Dark Forces mod for Duke Nukem 3D. However, we have even greater news for all you Duke Nukem fans out there. Steam member ‘Syndroid’ has released a remake of the classic Duke Nukem 3D game in Serious Sam 3 that works with VR and looks miles better than Duke Nukem Forever."

The gameplay needs to be fast paced and not slippy.

Great to hear! I love these games. They are just mindless fun and have some of the best graphics. Croteam is one talented developer. Cant wait to see what they come up with for us next.

What is with these ancient humor shootes taking like 10yrs+ to make? I hope it isnt a nother Duke nuke'em forever.

spicelicka3000d ago

What the hell Croteam why is it VR only?

Sorry but this seems like an on-rails side project, I was really hoping for a full fledged game on all platforms :(

TheCommentator3000d ago

Wait, DX9? Why would anybody still support DX9? DX12 would be able to run on any DX because of its' Feature Level detection.

Anyways, glad to hear Serious Sam is coming back. Seriously.
