1UP: Punch-Out!! Review

1UP writes: "So, yeah. Not only is Punch Out!! worth the 50 bucks, but lands on a very short list of Wii games I feel that way about. Even better, while Punch Out!! makes for an entertaining enough solitary experience, the back-seat driving aspect makes it positively shine as a party game. There's nothing quite like having a few friends over, passing the controller around, shouting advice, and just generally bonding over some hilarious, bloodless violence".

Anyone who can tell me who reviewed it? Don't wanna give them any hits (it's a semi long and boring story).

Chubear5611d ago (Edited 5611d ago )

You're actually going to convince yourselves that the general gaming experience of this game is far better than the likes of Blue Dragon, Heavenly Sword, Motorstorm etc?

You're tell me that this is/will be an equal or better gaming experience to the likes of FN4? Come on! The gaming community can't remain idiots for these gaming sites to manipulate it at their whim.

This is an incentives based business now. Give enough incentives over other games coming out when your game is coming out and you'll get an edge in ratings.

AN A+?! GTFO of here with that BS.

JoySticksFTW5611d ago

I love the Arcade and SNES Punchout, but I'm surprised that this got an A+. That's elite status.

I think maybe this Ultra-high score could have something to do with all of the other crap shovel-ware on the system... it makes legitimate good games look extra special.

Again, I love Punch-out, but I have a hard time believe it's better than or up there with MGS3 & 4, Ocarina of Time, FFVI, etc...

Good score, but I kind of expect reviews for a Nintendo title to be high from 1-Up.

I wonder where all the haters are

gta28005612d ago

They're probably busy playing their PS3 or their 360, where the true gaming action is at.

KruLLit5612d ago

^^^^^^^

You are sooo lost.

Chubear5611d ago (Edited 5611d ago )

Actually I would say it is YOU who are lost if you actually believe this game is a legit AAA experience. I don't know why I'm talking so much about this today but I've just had it with the BS in the gaming industry. Especially with the insane crap Nintendo has gotten away with this gen with their wii gaming experiences.

What do u call "true" gaming experience ..a generic FPS ?

Why all the hate towards good games>? Maybe if u tried it for a change u might be surprised to how addictive punch out can be.

And i have a ps3 and 360 and the games are just as fun (if not more) on the wii ..and DS for that matter

Why comment on games u have no intention of playing>?

6 Franchises Nintendo Needs to Resurrect on Switch

The Punished Backlog's David Silbert writes:

"Nintendo is widely known for its deep, eclectic well of beloved franchises. From The Legend of Zelda to Wrecking Crew, there’s no library in gaming as rich in history or as popular among fans.

2019 is shaping up to be a banner year for Nintendo, with representatives from Mario, Fire Emblem, Zelda, and Pokémon all gracing the Switch platform before the year’s end. At the same time, there are still plenty of Nintendo franchises that lie dormant this generation, in desperate need of the “Switch treatment.”

While there are plenty of legendary series worthy of a revival, here are six in particular I would absolutely kill to see on Switch in the near future."

A new Golden Sun and Mother would be great, but I wish I wasn't the only one that wants a new StarTropics.

Kid Icarus on the 3ds needs to be remade in HD, that game was really fun, the controls were a tad awkward and I'd cramp up. It'd benefit from a more comfortable controller. I really enjoyed my time w it. Advance Wars is a no brainer, come on Intelligent systems!

CyberSentinel2328d ago

1)Earthbound
2)Punch Out!
3)Kid Icarus (2D Metroidvania style)
4)Star Fox

gangsta_red2328d ago

Kid Icarus has the potential to be another Zelda. The very first game came out at the same time Metroid did and had many of the same gameplay elements. I'm sure it could be updated into a Zelda open world format.

Einhander19712328d ago

F-zero, Pilotwings, Kid Icarus, Starfox, Luigis Mansion 3 for switch.
