From the Site....Recent rumors originating from PSW magazine suggested that Grand Theft Auto IV's 'Lost and Damned' add-on could potentially arrive on the PlayStation Network as soon as this August. Based on a new statement from Microsoft, however, that doesn't look like the case.

Do u think many people will buy it if it does cum 2 the Ps3? - i wont

Fallout 3 Dlc i would

Genesis55460d ago (Edited 5460d ago )

Oh well. Guess I'll just have to play Uncharted 2 and R&C Crack in time. They'll be coming out around that time.

FamilyGuy5460d ago (Edited 5460d ago )

Really, i know some people like and still play the game but i dont see this content being very successful even if it does come over.

AND it's $20
I can think of a TON of other PS3 related things to put that money towards. Check my bio...

Wizeguy215460d ago

I mean I played and Beat GTA4, and tried to play it again. But Is gta4 really good? Now that we had time to let things settle? Because to be honest it didn't seem too memorable to me. I loved Vice City and the gta3 Way more.

Javier195460d ago

Meh, Fallout DLC is more the type i WOULDNT (and havnt)

because its just DLC

but Lost & Damned is like an entire expansion

FarEastOrient5460d ago

That is what Bethesda said when they released Oblivion DLC, only to later release a "Game of the Year Edition" for the PS3.

I did not murder him5460d ago

The author tried to keep the rumor alive hahahaha.

RockStar can't comment on it because of contract most likely and Microsoft is the only entity that can speak for it.

Perjoss5460d ago

if people are so 'not bothered' by gta 4 or lost & damned why do these threads get so many posts in them? :)

50CALheadshot5460d ago (Edited 5460d ago )

ps3 exclusives > dlc for multiplats

edit:
because its dlc for a multiplat. whats confusing you

Steyene5460d ago

@50 Cal.

How can it be multiplat DLC, if it is only on one console?

BLuKhaos5460d ago

Well I would buy it if it came to the PS3 so that's at least one copy sold.I'll be damned if I buy a crummy xbox 360 for some DLC.

Bnet3435460d ago

I still need to beat the main GTA IV story, which I have not. Meh ... I agree with PS3 fanboys for once, exclusive games are better then exclusive DLC.

JasonPC360PS3Wii5460d ago

Funny how everytime there is a rumor about L&D going to the PS3 the same 50 PS3 fanboys are the first in line to say "I don't care" or "we don't want it" Just seems funny to me that the same people line up to comment on somthing "they don't care about"

Sarcasm5460d ago

"Funny how everytime there is a rumor about MGS4 going to the 360 the same 50 360 fanboys are the first in line to say "I don't care" or "we don't want a movie" Just seems funny to me that the same people line up to comment on somthing 'they don't care about'"

Fixed*

Jinxstar5459d ago

I said it when 360 fans were claiming it a god send. The same 360 fans who dogged the game for being lame suddenly somehow found the DLC to be "Teh thing to buy"... Unless all the games I have preordered are flops and i have nothing at all to play... I wont be buying it. too little too late.

Sunny_D5460d ago

M$ aren't that stupid. They spent 50 million dollars on DLC. Ok maybe they are. LoL. Well, I hope they aren't. But based off what they been doing so far, It could be a safe bet that they are border line retarded.

AKNAA5460d ago

Whatever makes you happy MS, whatever...Makes you happy.

Borderline retarded, Lol!

Sarcasm5460d ago

Yes, because Lost & Damned proves how much more powerful the 360 is compared to the PS3 exclusives.

Sayai jin5460d ago

@sarcasm- Why does a game have to be more powerful for it to be a good game? I thought a game was supposed to be fun. Whether it's a new eye splitting exclusive, DLC, or even a classic Sega game; is it not just the point to entertain people.

-Mezzo-5460d ago

I will buy it if i comes out on ps3, but i never pay any attention to DLC's but the developers these days are forcing the gamer to focus on DLC's just to rack in loads of cash.

And the weirdest part is that it's working.

DavidMacDougall5460d ago

Not on me its not, i hate all these little ****ing add ons. I just want my complete game so if something breaks (HDD for example) i don't have to spend like an hour installing everything and updating it all just to play it! Just give me a game like Uncharted put it in press start - play it! Where the **** did them days go?

PirateThom5460d ago

Sony won't comment.
Rockstar gave the standard PR line.
Microsoft insist it's exclusive.

cayal5460d ago

And the sun comes up in the morning.

II Necroplasm II5460d ago

Sure, Microsoft gave Rockstar $50 million for "timed" exclusive DLC...

lol

I did not murder him5460d ago (Edited 5460d ago )

Yeah because the contract is "supposedly up in 6 months " and yet the 2nd episode that is exclusive will release a great deal of time beyond the first 6 months. Why would a company pay this much and not wan't to get years of revenue from it after the last game/content is out?

Sony doesn't speak because its rubbish and embarrassing to begin with although Sony allows rumors to live on because of self interest.

kaveti66165460d ago

HE gave an accurate summary of whats going on and you idiots disagree with him? Never mind, I answered my own question when I labeled you as idiots.

so what if ps3 gets it's port, ps3's version was at what, 640p with horrid framerate, right?

GTA4 lost and damned simply put is an expansion of the currently existing GTA4, it's going to carry over all the bugs and glitches the ps3 version had.

raztad5460d ago

Well what kills the game for me is not the framerate (not having noticed any drop at all) is the lack of fun. No way I'd be wasting 20$ on an expansion of a game I just can't bring myself to finish. inFAMOUS cant come soon enough.

MaN_uTd5460d ago (Edited 5460d ago )

Shame you'll never enjoy gaming.

7ero H3LL5460d ago (Edited 5460d ago )

"Well what kills the game for me is not the framerate (not having noticed any drop at all) is the lack of fun. No way I'd be wasting 20$ on an expansion of a game I just can't bring myself to finish."

ok so well there you have it, (going by your agrees) no ps3 gamer would pay for it anyway, so what's the point in seeking to see if this ps3 version will ever see the light of day if it's deemed "not worth the money".

and imo, having played it, it IS worth the money.

PotNoodle5460d ago

If it would of come out on PS3 as well as 360, at the same time - i would of bought it on the PS3 instead.

thebudgetgamer5460d ago (Edited 5460d ago )

i would buy it if it did come to ps3. im a big rockstar north fan and will always give them my money, and i have also not noticed this horrid frame rate you speak of.

:)

Bathyj5460d ago

PS3 didn't have frame rate problems. He's just read that somewhere and wants to believe it so much.

Xbox did have massive pop in problems though, trees, cars and even whole buildings just appear 2 seconds up the road. Yeah you guys are awesome, keep telling yourself every game is better on Xbox, eventually you'll believe it.

7ero H3LL5460d ago (Edited 5460d ago )

beyond3d did the coverage on it, they said ps3's version got an average of 22 to 25 fps.

"Xbox did have massive pop in problems though, trees, cars and even whole buildings just appear 2 seconds up the road. "

without the installation.

hey at least 360's version of gta4 runs better, gets both 720p, and an option installation.

http://www.gamersyde.com/ne...

"keep telling yourself every game is better on Xbox, eventually you'll believe it."

no, beyond3d, eurogamer, and gamersyde say it better......they show proof.

7ero H3LL5460d ago (Edited 5460d ago )

"(thebudgetgamer) wait so because 4 people agree with him every ps3 gamer doesn't want it"

no, way more than 4 people are agreeing with him, and i bet you did too, so yes it seems we do have people who have little interest in wanting the DLC.

anyone who agrees with (raztad) is agreeing that the DLC isn't worth it........funny huh.

thebudgetgamer5460d ago (Edited 5460d ago )

ive been beaten up by ps3 fanboys for stating how much i liked gta IV.
check my history you will never find anything about me bashing gta.
its of little interest to me what some fanboys want and even if every ps3 fanboy here hated gta. i like it.

:) edit: and what makes you think i agree with raztad im just stating that i didnt have problems with the games framerate.

edit2: no i said it many time how much fun gta IV was just the phisics alone was amazing shooting random people in the leg and watching them limp away will always be a good time

edit3: huge difference huh

http://www.gamesradar.com/x...
yea no there basicly the same

GUNS N SWORDS5460d ago (Edited 5460d ago )

to everyone, the DLC and the content inside of it was all microsoft's idea, it's theirs they payed for the whole thing.

now, the people who bought the ps3 version really shouldn't feel like they were betrayed by Rockstar when it wasn't even originally in their heads in the first place. (MS came to them for the expansion)

GTA4 is complete with\without it.......it's still a 60+ hr game.

thebudgetgamer5460d ago

its a business thing im not mad at rockstar these things happen. it doesnt mean im going to stop buying their games. like i said im a huge rockstar north fan and when the make something new i will buy it.

:)

raztad5460d ago

@7e3

Im glad L&D is worth the money (your words) but does that means I need to spend 60 + 20 $ to get some fun with this "AAA" title? I, not sure how Rockstar managed to strip down all the fun from GTA4, perhaps they mixed up mature with boring, but anyway going back to topic: if L&D sold a million copies on the platform it was suppose to be released, I doubt seriously it will be a commercial success on the PS3 a year later.

Rockstar needs to push something new, perhaps in the line of Vice City or San Andreas. Using an updated GTA4 tech but in a different universe/with different characters, overhauling the combat and not taking itself too seriously. Well, I dont know, I just got more fun with Vice City Stories on my psp. Now Im playing LC Stories and GTA4 is just gathering dust.

I woupdn't update the game. It doesnt have game breaking issues and I would lose one of the radio stations.

jeromeface1525d ago

steam has removed this option

monkey6021525d ago

"Thankfully, players will seemingly easily be able to update their game to the new version easily by simply installing "

What the fuck kind of sentence structure is that?!

GTA4 was the worst game in the entire series and the only one I've ever truly hated

SegaSaturn6691525d ago

I really liked the tv stations on gta 4. Other than that, I agree. Horrible racing missions.

Orionsangel1525d ago

They'll never get rid of how slow and sluggish these games feel. Your character and vehicles feel too heavy. Even on the most powerful rigs. I love how GTAV fixed it though.

Profchaos1525d ago (Edited 1525d ago )

Your character was a mid 30/40 year old personally I felt like he controlled the way most people in that age range move.
And it had better driving physics than v did cars have weight and it felt correct compared to v everything drives like a sports car and turns corners on a dime

DerfDerf1525d ago

The driving physics in GTA4 were far superior to 5. Everyone complains because of the physics engine used but it's one of the things I love about 4

The 5 Most Shocking Grand Theft Auto Moments

USgamer:"By the time the average American teenager has reached the ninth grade, chances are they've been exposed to one or two (or 20) graphically violent films. When I was growing up, most parents seemed to accept (if not condone) the viewing of these kinds of movies and television shows. It was inevitable that their children would eventually discover them. I vividly remember a friend's father renting a Freddy Kruger film for us when we were 12 years old. The year was 2002 – just a few months after the release of Grand Theft Auto III."
